I guess it helps to pay for ads. They are not free.

“If Akin loses the race, it’ll be the fault of Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e.”

Sorry, if Akin looses it will be Akin’s fault. He’s just not bright, and it’s a shame he won’t turn over the race to someone who can win. HIs behavior is one of an arrogant, stupid, self-agrandizing old fool who thinks he’s more important than his country. Just Sharron Angle in pants.

Nice guys finish last.

And, no, I’m not talking about Akin as the nice guy here.

I’m talking about the republicans, who cannot play in the same field as the democrats when it comes to trying to win.

Win at any cost is why the democrats win elections, and republicans, because they’re trying to keep/gain that “nice guy” image, will continue losing races that should be won, some of them easily.

The democrats would have defended Akin, at any cost, because, to them, winning the senate is the biggest priority, and it wouldn’t matter to them how big an asshole any of their candidates prove to be, as long as he or she wins.

Your party needs to quit filling my mail box with letters begging for money and support. They do not support conservatives, so I do not support them. Sorry ward heeler. Go eat some mice or something.

Well...even assuming that is all true (which of course it isn't) for the sake of argument, what does it have to do with the discussion and the truth or falsity of your comments?

It was a mis-speak. This dead horse has been beaten already. The polls indicate the people of Missouri are still behind Akin, and do you really think voters in MO are going to vote for Romney and then McCaskill?

“It’s someone else’s fault” is simplistic, don’t you think? All party candidates are supposed to enjoy financial support from the party. There’s no reason for the GOP-e to withhold funds. The GOP-e jumped on the SRM bandwagon with the talking-points, but they could have still provided financial support.

If Akins loses, and it’s close, a case can be made it was from lack of advertising. We’ll see.

The democrats would have defended Akin

And they did - big time. He was their choice to be the candidate - spending millions to assist him in winning the nomination, and McCaskill and company stood behind him to encourage him to stay in the race.

What does the behavior of the "GOP-e" one way or the other have to do with Akin's campaign not getting their bill paid on time? How is that anyone else's responsibility? If the party orgs were still running ads they would still not be in charge of sending the Akin campaign's checks in for their own ads.

Why haven’t Huckabee and the Akin supporters sent him enough money for ads? They just like to shoot off their mouths, but writing checks is a little more difficult. 40 bucks from 250,000 of his true believers would give him a million bucks for ads. Perhaps in these tough times people don’t like wasting their money.

At this point, the only ones losing this seat for the GOP is the GOP-E itself. They’re the ones who decided to completely cut off their candidate from all party support, because of one stupid comment. When they failed to pressure him to step out so they could put some GOP-Er in his place, they started throwing their little temper tantrums. THEY are to blame, since even with his gaffe, this is still easily winnable for Akin under any sort of normal funding circumstances.

Karl Rove is willing to give up the seat to McCaskill because of personal issues with the candidate.

I was pissed at Akin at first, but now I am all for him. He is no Boner or McConnell, who fold up like a cheap suit at the first hint of Lefty criticism.

FUKR.

Akin has said before that he does not need the help of national Republicans, then why the need to whine about it.

Two posts already blaming the party when of course they have absolutely nothing to do with it and is entirely Akin’s fault.

Uhhhh. Who is/was responsible for the words issuing forth from the mouths of Priebus and Rove???

Who is to blame for those words???

Of course it is true. My mailbox and telephone are under siege from odious little operatives wheedling for my support for one of the two parties that eat at this nation like liver flukes. The crawlers on the phone are the worst.

You too? It seems like I have these wormy little Republican bottomfeeders calling here at least once a week begging for funds. The answer is always the same - "Nope. Click."
