It’s been a while since I’ve been to our embassy in Cairo. It was like a fortress in 1997, and I can only imagine that they’ve beefed it up significantly since 9/11. Attackers are lucky the Marines didn’t blow their heads off.

I do. These are treasure irreplaceable and shouldn’t be destroyed just to “prove” what everyone knows. That the infestation of Moslems in Egypt that occurred thousands of years after those were created, is an ongoing tragedy. Islam hadnt even been invented yet when those pyramids were built.
The current inhabitants of Egypt are not the people who built those amazing structures. This is exactly why we buit neutron bombs. And im 100% serious. Wipes out the infestation, and leaves the buildings intact. This should be considered. Ditto for Mecca. There no reason to destroy these old buildings,,they didn’t do anything wrong.
Heh - I would have thought we had closed up shop in Egypt awhile ago. Although I guess I wouldn’t mind images of choppers on the roof of the embassy a few weeks before election day.
