OUTREACH TO ARAB LESBIAN GAY BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER (LGBT) COMMUNITIES
The U.S. Embassy is offering a one-time grant to advance the human rights of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) persons in Arab communities in Israel. The grant aims to increase the capacity of a civil society group to conduct advocacy, as well as monitor and document anti-gay violence targeting LGBT persons living in predominantly Arab communities.
GOALS
Within one year of receiving the grant, the grantee should demonstrate an increase in the number and effectiveness of advocacy and monitoring activities in Arab communities. The aim is to reduce the stigma of LGBT in those communities and to improve the Arab LGBT community’s understanding of their rights in Israel. The grantee need not change its current policy but it should be able to demonstrate it was able to increase awareness and understanding of resources available to Arab LGBT and strengthen its ability to document and analyze anti-gay violence targeting Arab LGBT.
The grantee should look to innovative uses of technology appropriate for Arab communities to engage LGBT persons and enable them to network with one another, share experiences and information, and develop their capacity for grassroots organization. The grantee should provide opportunities for Arab LGBT to meet and discuss issues and produce ideas to help the LGBT community living in Arab communities.
Envisioned projects should be designed with the end goal of providing new resources to Arab LGBT and empowering them to utilize resources available inside and outside of the community.
The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv expects to visit the grantee prior to the start of the project to establish specific baselines and targets. The grantee agrees to provide, at a minimum, monthly updates on expenditures, progress, and milestones reached.
RESOURCES
The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv will monitor the grant. No resources aside from the grant itself would be available from the Embassy.
BUDGET RESTRICTIONS
. The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv will not fund for-profit projects. . The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv will not fund participation in fundraising. . The budget must include category-level details. For example, if the project costs include printing reading materials to promote the project, the budget must show the cost per unit (e.g., 25 flyers at $10 each = $250).

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Also, with a huge deficit this is a small potatoes amount of money, but why is our nearly bankrupt nation doing something as ignorant as this anywhere at all?

There is not depth too deep, too depraved, too destructive, too immoral, too extreme for these sick, vile people. If anyone thinks "Well, sooner or later they'll stop" you're deceiving yourself. They will not stop until WE stop them. Pedophilia is next on the agenda, waiting in the wings. Homosexuals throughout history have been after the youth. And now OUR tax money is shoving the most vile of abhorrant sick perverted behaviors onto other countries. What I want to know is why our R controlled House says nothing - not one peep - about the pedal to the metal ramp-up of the "gay" agenda all over the world.

I don’t know the facts on that one. I do know that the first official “Gay Agenda” wanted elimination of all restrictions on what sex and NUMBERS of people in marriage, and ELIMINATION OF ALL AGE OF CONSENT LAWS!

If this is true, considering the long history of Republican support for Israel, opposition to homosexual activism, and support for fiscal frugality, it seems like this would be a good target for Republican wrath.
Muslim rioters are attacking our embassy personnel claiming an anti-Islamic film was broadcast on “American state television.” Obviously no such thing exists. However, this **IS** an example of the State Department funding things which are offensive to conservative followers of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Even from a purely secular perspective, it seems to me that this has considerable potential to offend people for no good reason, and therefore is a poor use of American diplomatic dollars.
Apparently this is not an aberration. It may be part of a deliberate effort to use homosexuals to help nations like Israel gain credibility for being “liberal” and “modern” in contradistinction to radical Islam, and therefore bolster support for Israel among Western liberals, as well as secular pro-homosexual conservatives (of which there are many in Europe, the modern Netherlands being a notorious example).
It is not news that there are people in Israel who practice triangulation politics, that the enemy of your enemy, even if he's not your friend, may be useful. The Israeli political establishment includes masters of that kind of thing, and I admire them for it.
Okay, I get it. Maybe this is helpful to Israel. If they want to use their tax dollars to promote this kind of thing, that's their business. If I were a member of the Israeli Knesset, I'd have some hard questions, but perhaps I could be convinced.
However, why should American tax dollars be supporting this kind of stuff overseas?

I don’t want to buy condoms for people and I don’t want to pray for homosexual research in the middle east.
Besides being an ignorant expenditure of funds, this is also insanity in that region of the world.
Hitlery has been promoting sexual perveresion via the State Department at various embassies and US outlets or whatever they’re called for a couple of years. She pushed to have Lady Gagamaggot “perform” in Rome, various embassies have had Fag/etc celebrations and the like. This pushing perversion is official US policy.
It’s so beyond revolting that I can hardly stand to read such articles.
