"I swear to God, everything we have been saying for months, and I know a lot of the audience doesn't want to hear this, this is the worst campaign in my lifetime," Democratic pollster Pat Caddell said on the Monday edition of FOX News' "Campaign Insiders" web show. "A challenging campaign, with a chance to win. They have set themselves on a course that says, 'We don't have to do anything, we're going to win because they don't like the other guy.'"
"That 50% approval rating -- if the president is at 50% approval, it is hundreds of millions of dollars raised and spent by Republican and conservative consultants and organizations have failed. They have failed because they have no real credibility as a message. If he's at 50%, somebody needs to sit down and rethink," Caddell said.
"Republicans have no response mechanism. Hundreds of millions of dollars, they're still not on the air explaining to people that with the labor participation rate, if it was the same as he came into office the unemployment would be 11.2%. There is a missing case and I watched Romeney yesterday, I watched Romney yesterday, I swear to God, there is no urgency to this man. He is running, as I said this morning, bored," Caddell observed.

If this were Palin, West, Cain etc, they would’ve smoked Odumbo in the first minute by destroying and ridiculing him. I’m not even sure if Mittsy wants to win, like he thinks it’s in the bag.
Just tellin’ it like it is. Nominate an execrable phony and don’t act shocked by the results.
Two Words: John McCain.
I notice that many of those who were spreading panic over Romney’s polling numbers were sour grapes who couldn’t get over that their preferred candidate lost to Romney. Their intention is to gloat if Romney lost in November and earn the right to say I told you so.
I was also just telling as it is. Romney won the primaries. Get over it.
But, he's what we have, period. He's light years ahead of Soetoro in terms of...everything (see my tagline).
The haters hate, no matter what.
Also, what's being ignored is that Romney IS winning this race; he's in a very good spot right now.
If Romney looses, I’m quitting the GOP and registering as an independent. They need to play hardball, or they’re going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
Last Bush and the GOP Congress Federal Deficit 2006 $160 billion
Last Obama and Democrat Congress Federal Deficit 2010 $1.6 Trillion
Even faux Conservative stooges busy pimping for Obama on Conservative websites should be able to do that much math.
I like Mitt Romney.
He is a respectable gentleman and a nice gentleman.
If he doesn’t fight his opponent, he is going to get his ass kicked by his opponent, who is neither nice nor respectable.
As wardaddy said above, we have nominated a pussy surrounded by pussies. That is exactly the case.
I believe the pussy must win, or America is done.
I don’t know if he can win, but he must win.
That being said, once this election is done, the GOP MUST GO!
It is truly as usless piece of garbage. It is not the party that will save America from her fate. It simply doesn’t have the mettle to stand against the radical left in this country.
I hate the GOP, and the whimpering John Boehner makes me want to throw up.
We have no choice but to support them in November, but after that, win or lose, the GOP will be my enemy.
The fix was in. He is still an execrable, lying phony who is highly distrusted by Conservatives because his record doesn’t match his rhetoric. He thinks he’s going to duplicate Thomas Dewey’s 1948 victory over Truman. Hope you like your “winner.”
Romney thinks he will win with the ABO vote; it may not carry him..Romney is a weak candidate. Everyone's been helping him and he's still not walking away with this thing nor connecting. Keep praying, all that we can do because we didn't get a conservative.
BTW, that's not a Freeper purge ~ rather, this is the purge where we remove the GOP-e from Republican politics.
Too bad we didn’t nominate a Conservative, eh, Johnnie ? They’d be 10 points ahead by now. But you fellas wanted Slick Willard. Ye reap what ye sow.
Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Tuesday issued a paper statement sharply critical of President Barack Obama over his handling of violence in the Middle East earlier in the day. I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi,” Romney said in the statement. “It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.
Amen
some ABR folks simply want to cut the embarrassment short and move on to whatever it is the campaign is going to be about ~ my take is it's a series of negative ads to be broadcast at the end of October.
That’s an eye-opening statement from Caddell, who worked on the McGovern campaign.
How about dealing with Romney now, today?
How do you “deal” with Romney now?
