...Romney is a decent business manager. Hes a decent man. He likes America. He wants America to like him. Hes not going to actively dismantle our way of life, as will the one now in power. There will be no attacks on freedom of religion, no wild power grabs for the Internet, no executive orders that violate the laws of the land. He will not hanker for more flexibility so he can give more to Putin. And this is petty but important for how the world sees us he will neither apologize nor bow to foreign leaders.
Is he perfect? Oh, goodness, no. Is he exactly what we need? Probably not. Who is? Do you know the trouble weve got ourselves into by trusting presidents for this long? Its a big hole. No one man can get us out of it. Only we can. And it will take time.
But thats fine. He wont be anointed by any gods. There will be no halos and no Greek columns. Instead, hell be the elected by the people and the people the sovereign people of this free land who are now awake will stand ready to make sure he knows it.
Perhaps we will once more save our democratic republic for another generation. Perhaps well turn the tiller and start the long way back from deep blue statism.
In the end, as someone said, perhaps were the ones weve been waiting for. No hero will ride to the rescue we will.
Were Americans. We dont need emperors. (If thats what you want, to quote Romney, you must vote for the other guy.) We dont want lords and masters. Were free and at last aware that we must work to stay that way.

So far neither candidate has told the libyans or the egyptians to exterminate all these guys or we will turn their countries into rubble ~ anything short of that is just cowardice.
You do realize that we do not control all the state delegations ~ you have to have 26 of them to vote for a single candidate before january 20, 2013. That’s a lot more difficult than you imagine.
Try doing a simple exercise. Go check the number of Republican congresscritters versus Dem congresscritters by state. I did a quick tally and see that Dems only control sixteen state delegations and one tie - Minnesota.
So are there any other claims you wish to pull from your Hillary-sized arse?
Was Ronald Reagan? Was Churchill? No but they did more for the world than any other men of their age.
However, this would be a quorum of the states AFTER this coming election.
Let's say this pud of an election that should have been so easy to win we'd have a Republican sweep of every contested seat ends up evenly divided ~ you could find getting a quorum VERY difficult ~ rather like the 1876 problem ~
President Arpaio?
Thanks for the ping friend!
Not many months ago, Freepers were saying they would vote for a tin can over Obama. I believe Romney has led a decent life and will vote for him over the ‘disgrace in office’ we have now.
