I can't think of anything of note that the State Department has done.
It's a useless department and should be totally revamped or done away with.

The President has to at least sound tough, and this guy sounds like a wimp. The were silent for hours and hours, what were they doing focus grouping?
True Americans should not let this stand! the flag has been attacked! We have a choice now—A) Stop any films that depict Islam in a way they do not like—Censor all speech they may find offensive, let Sheria law be counted as real law of the land. OR B) Reject these 10th century nut cases and let others seize them and see how they like Chinese Imperialism for a while. We know where Obama’s heart is—with the Islamic people, now we must reject this poser.
This is deliberate and strategic. Obama is teetering, desperately clinging to power, and they know it.
He would agree to absolutely ANYTHING to make this situation go away and stop gumming up his re-election efforts. They know this and they are going to attempt to make him sue for peace.
Much as I suspect the unions are doing with the Chicago Teachers Strike. Georgia, Ukraine and Taiwan take note.
Yeah, I was always uneasy about going after Saddam. There are no saints in that part of the world, and he did act as a buffer against Iran, which is the much larger threat in the long-term.
