General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke with Pastor Terry Jones by phone on Wednesday and asked him to withdraw his support for a film whose portrayal of the Prophet Mohammad has sparked violent protests - including one that ended with the death of America's envoy to Libya

This is outrageous. Is it also unprecedented?

My word, I never thought I’d read an item like this - in America.

This is a sad moment.

I reckon Gen. Dempsey got a phone call from The White House.

Dempsey is contemptible. Why doesn’t he resign and join the Obama administration. The film was just an excuse for attacks mounted on 9/11.

General Martin Dempsey is a total Obozo Duffass.

The Pastor is not the reason the Muzzies Rioted, it is only the excuse.

Those who overran our embassy did not act without tacit approval of the New Leadership. Too many involved.

Obozo’s Muslim Brotherhood buddies are who rioted in Egypt, and probably in Libya.

This is Obama’s fault. His Middle Eastern Buddies sense their window of opportunity is closing. So, they are pushing hard to accomplish all they can on his protective watch.

FUBO!

How did Terry Jones get mixed up in this? He had nothing to do with the film.

I am retired U.S. Coast Guard Senior Chief and have been retired for some 21 years. In my humble opinion, it seems to me that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, should be less concerned about the endorsement of a movie by a pastor and more concerned about removing the two countries who have created a de facto state of war.

Not only have the mobs of Egypt and Libya invaded American territory by breaching security at the two Embassies, they killed the American Ambassador. Not that many years that would have necessitated a violent American response.

How quickly times change. I fear our country is lost, but will continue to support and defend the Constitution until my last breath.

Let’s see...the preacher can make videos but not drop bombs. The general can drop bombs but not make videos.

I like that division of labor, can we just stick to it?

When a country’s military has been completely emasculated, what do you expect?

You’re the one who needs to go pound sound. The General has no business calling a private citizen. None. Zero. Zilch. You should be ashamed of yourself.

This is utterly insane. Personally. I think they had the whole blame Terry Jones meme in place before this even broke.

I’d be really surprised if the Muslims even knew about this....before they were helpfully informed by somebody so that it could be used as a pretext if the 9/11 anniversary attacks - which we had already been warned about - occurred.

Mind you, I don’t like Terry Jones. I used to live in Gainesville and he was just one of the many nutty preachers floating around there, usually preaching out of their garages until they could get enough $ for space elsewhere.

But blaming him for this is idiotic, and having the head of our military call him is frightening.

The sucka$$ General is not wanting to inflame the peaceful Muslims, instead of defending Americans and wiping out the enemy. Talk about a gutless leader. Time to clean house in the military the same way we need to clean out the Congress and senate from these cheese eating surrender monkeys that should be embarrassed to call themselves Americans!
