A group of House conservatives is calling for foreign aid to Libya and Egypt to be stripped from a six-month federal funding bill set for a vote on Thursday.
A handful of lawmakers voiced outrage Wednesday at the Obama administration’s response to the attacks on the U.S. embassies in those countries and suggested the inclusion of foreign aid could influence their votes.
“It makes it easier to vote ‘no’” on the spending bill, freshman Rep. Jeff Landry (R-La.) said at a press event with conservative House Republicans at the Capitol.
The House on Thursday plans to vote on a continuing resolution that would extend federal funding through March, preventing a government shutdown before the election or during a lame duck session of Congress this fall. While conservatives pushed to avoid a shutdown fight, they have also raised alarms about the inclusion of additional welfare funding in the bill.

...Let’s cut through the diplomatic blather and Obama State Department’s p.c. charade. This isn’t about ordinary Egyptian Muslims being offended by Koran-burning or some genuine outcry for religious tolerance or widespread anger over how Mohammed is being portrayed. It’s about Egyptian imams and Muslim Brotherhood propagandists concocting any excuse for a violent anti-Western conflagration.
So, let’s say you’re right. Are you saying that’s a reason for not doing so? Oh, it’s OK to abdicate your responsibility because someone else will ignore it anyway. Thanks for the moral lesson.
I say de-fund them but a few, selected, real, allies.
If they ever get it back again, let them EARN it. We’ve played Santa Claus and policeman for the world long enough now. We’ve got our own house to get in order and we’re not seeing a cent from any of them.

I say kill the aid.
But I was wrong in my earlier post about Egypt violating the peace treaty by moving tanks into the sinai. Apparently they have been coordinating with Israel and are not in violation of it.
But... how will they then pay for the 20 protesters , the RPG's, and all those Guy Fawkes masks?
Why stop there? It’s those Saudi’s that have been behind a lot of this mess, as well!
