Romney: I wouldn’t turn down Netanyahu meeting
The Washington Post ^ | September 12, 2012 | Rachel Weiner

While greeting supporters in Jacksonville, Fla. after his press conference on the attacks in Egypt and Libya, Mitt Romney took a subtle swipe at President Obama’s relations with Israel.

“I can’t ever imagine if the Prime Minister of Israel asked to meet with me, I can’t imagine ever saying no,” Romney said when asked about Israel, according to a pool report. “They’re our friends. They’re our closest allies in the Middle East.”(continued)

That was kind of subtle but better than nothing for Romeny. If I were him I would have offered an invitation for Romney himself to meet Netanyahu while in NY. He needs to take charge in situations like this. I know Sarah Palin wouldn’t have wasted no time if she were in Mitten’s shoes.

Well Mitt, JUST DO IT! Arrange a meeting yourself! Geesh. This isn’t rocket science. Set it up for the same time Barry is yukking it up with his buddy, Dave!

Something tells me he is already in contact with Bibi. He did just recently fly over to Israel and met with him.

He went to the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Isaac before Mr. Obama did, so he’s capable of doing things like that, remember?

Romney is being shrewd. If Netanyahu wants to meet with Romney, he’ll send word to that effect. This way, Romney puts it out there without directly undermining Obama or risking getting rejected.

We need to start calling him “President Romney.”. It’ll drive the enemy nuts.

Romney needs to keep pressing hard. He has the MSM and Øbama on their heels. Øbama gave him a gift the past 24 hours and he’s taking off the wrapping paper. He (and Bibi’s snubbing) may be locking down Florida’s Jewish vote and perhaps many other votes across the Jewish swing state diaspora. Once FL is in the “W” column he can turn his energies to OH and VA, and the dishes are then done! The DNC bounce has receded, the foreign policy polling advantage of The Usurper may be negated and there is a clear pathway to victory.

Netanyahu should visit the Romneys at their home. Keep people guessing. The media would go nuts. LOL

New Jersey is within striking distance in the polls, believe it or not.

Not sure what the percentage of the population of NJ is Jewish, but it has the second largest American Jewish population after NY. I estimate Jews (who usually vote) can move the needle 2-3% towards Romney. Most New York/New Jersey metro area Jews have friends and relatives in FL, so there will be alignment.

I don't think so. Despite obama's posture, it would seem to me to be an egregious breach of protocol for a foreign head of state to meet with a private citizen, especially one who is running for president, and not the president first.

Like the Europeans didn’t roll out the red carpet when obama held the European leg of his 2008 camapaign.

I would think all bets on protocol were off seeing how Obama turned him down.
