Will Mitt Romney look back on this day as the blunder that doomed his campaign?
It's too soon to tell, of course. But the reaction to his recent foreign-policy moves has been overwhelmingly negative, from Republicans and Democrats alike, to the point that some wonder whether it could begin to disqualify him in voters' minds.
Romney's response to the incidents of the last 24 hours -- the storming of the American embassy in Cairo and the killing of the American ambassador and three others in Libya -- is widely being regarded as hasty and ham-handed. From his initial statement late Tuesday, which accused the Obama Administration of "sympathiz[ing] with those who waged the attacks," to his Wednesday morning press conference reinforcing that criticism, Romney, critics say, appeared overly eager to turn the tragedy into a political wedge, and insufficiently respectful of the gravity of the situation.

I'm sorry I had to post this. Reading it made me throw-up in my mouth. But the nauseating glee that emanates from these so-called elites is such an unholy amalgam of treason and sycophancy that it must be exposed, combatted and ridiculed.
Molly Ball is as ugly as it one can get.
Yet another pant-load from The Atlantic. The are going to get a hernia from lifting so much for Obama. This is just flat out propaganda.
Yeah, that's the democrat's domain. How dare he!!!
What flubs?
Yep, the RATS cannot shovel dirt fast enough to cover up the Obama anti-American, weak, near non-existent response to the ACTS OF WAR against America.
Got news for Molly, the FUMBLE is the turkey living in the WH.
He didn’t make a mistake. His statement was in response to ONE incident... the one in Cairo. The extent of what happened in Libya wasn’t known.
I despise the media.
A remarkably stupid article. All you have to do is play back everyone from this moron writer to Kerry to Clinton to Obama statement about Bush and the Iraq war.
Apparently the “gravity of the situation” defense only applies when it is a Progressive Fascist Democrat like Obama in the White House.
Baghdad Ball....
nothing to see here.

I agree. It is encouraging to see Romney showing some back bone and actual leadership.
Flak incoming! You’re over the target, Captain Romney. Drop ‘em now!
It’s days like today that make me regret the fact that dueling is illegal.
There weren't any. They exist only in the minds of DNC media operatives. In other words, about 98% of the MSM.
Hasty and ham handed. FUBO supporters.
Our present government
“A” ignored warnings of these planned 9-11 rallies.
“B” praised Islam and castigated an American scapegoat in response to the attacks.
“C” has put military pressure from an American General on the scapegoat (government censorship).
“D” has apologized to the Islamist terrorists.
“E” done all of the above after going to war against Momar Gaddafi and killing him as a POW after torture/abuse.
Obama’s pro-Islamist, anti-Israel, anti-allies foreign policy is one big ass mistake, America.
These jerks are delusional.
I can’t stand Romney, but he didn’t “flub” anything. He sounded like an AMERICAN, for crissake. It’s the Muslim POS sitting in our White House grabbing his ankles and apologizing for our existence to his overlords — our enemies — that Americans know “flubbed.”
What is incorrect about this assertion? Why is this a "fumble"?
He's stating a truth that the left doesn't want to hear, but we are glad to hear him call a spade a spade.
Only if he backs off his original statements.
If Romney continues to hammer home the fact that Obamao bent over forwards to apologize to the radical islamists who were killing our citizens in a planned, coordinated and staged attacks, then Romney wins!
Oh, by the way, this IS AN ACT OF WAR!!! Like it or not.
As is oft quoted here on good old FR, “You know you’re over the target when you start taking flak”. Romney is definitely over the target. Time to press his advantage to the max. Time to put a real American in the White House. One who will defend our values, not the values of our enemies.
