Will Romney's Foreign-Policy Fumble Doom His Campaign?(Lefty Panties in a Twist Alert)
The Atlantic ^ | 9/12/2012 | Molly Ball

Will Mitt Romney look back on this day as the blunder that doomed his campaign?

It's too soon to tell, of course. But the reaction to his recent foreign-policy moves has been overwhelmingly negative, from Republicans and Democrats alike, to the point that some wonder whether it could begin to disqualify him in voters' minds.

Romney's response to the incidents of the last 24 hours -- the storming of the American embassy in Cairo and the killing of the American ambassador and three others in Libya -- is widely being regarded as hasty and ham-handed. From his initial statement late Tuesday, which accused the Obama Administration of "sympathiz[ing] with those who waged the attacks," to his Wednesday morning press conference reinforcing that criticism, Romney, critics say, appeared overly eager to turn the tragedy into a political wedge, and insufficiently respectful of the gravity of the situation.

Blunder? How odd thats the same word Obama used in his convention speech. I guess its not a blunder that Obama skips out on his security briefings?

I’m sure all these lefties were ridiculing Democrats about all their rhetoric on the Iraq War during the 2004 election cycle.

Let’s assume for the sake of argument that it really was a “blunder”.

Would that actually lose Mitt any votes that are already his, or that were actually in play? No, it wouldn’t.

Standard dim misdirection play.

Their boy POTUS was hanging with DJ Pimp and playing hookey from his intel briefings while this went down!

The Obama protection agency in the “News Media” is busy spinning this on a movie no one has ever heard of. The mobs in the ME aren’t chanting about this movie, they are chanting “1 billion Osamas”.

This is a reaction to Obama bragging 21 times last week about killing Osama

As is oft quoted here on good old FR, “You know you’re over the target when you start taking flak”. Romney is definitely over the target. Time to press his advantage to the max. Time to put a real American in the White House. One who will defend our values, not the values of our enemies.

Amen! Crazy good post by a fool in paradise as well. The leftist media has gone into full-on Pravda mode - they wheeled this Trojan Horse inside the gates and have dropped all pretense that it wasn't the plan in the first place.

.........insufficiently respectful of the gravity of the situation.

Guess that's why OBummer is campaigning in Nevada today, you know, respecting the gravity of the situation and all. < /infinite sarcasm >

his recent foreign-policy moves has been overwhelmingly negative

Is this reporter talking about Obama here? The ONLY overwhelming negative I have seen today was the coordinated reporter attack on him during his press conference. And I'm sure this reporter is probably just taking journalistic privilege in assuming that there were both "Republican and Democrat" there. I'm also sure that there was probably at least ONE of those reporters that now "wonders" whether this could disqualify him. What a bogus reporting piece of garbage!

Exactly!

And now the little punk has run off to Nevada to hold a fund raiser!

Prompted by that lady caller, Rush posited that Obama’s excessive crowing about the Bin Laden hit may have inflamed the fanatical Egyptian embassy attackers who cried : “We are all Osamas, Obama!” That may be one of the few nuggets of truth to come out of radical (please forgive the redundancy) Islam.
