Has an empty chair been getting 56.2 percent of the president's intelligence briefings?
In light of the news that fatal attacks on U.S. diplomats in Benghazi, Libya, may well have been pre-planned by al Qaeda operatives, it would behoove the media to scrutinize just how infrequently President Obama sits in on his daily intelligence briefings. As Marc Thiessen noted in an op-ed in Sunday, September 10 edition of the Washington Post, President Obama sat in on his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) a mere 536 times out of his first 1,225 days in office. That's a mere 43.8 percent of the time. "By contrast, Obamas predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting," the American Enterprise Institute fellow noted.
My college professors would have kicked my @$$ out of their classes if I only attended 43.8 percent of the time.
If an intelligence briefing is given and Zero is not there to hear it, does it make a sound?
If TOTUS and CHOTUS are there, who cares if Obama shows up? It's not like he has any interest in helping or even the potential to contribute ideas.
That “empty chair” meme just keeps on turning up. Thanks, Clint.
yea, romney would be worse...
Spends more time on the golf course.
I just heard on Sean Hannity’s show that the Egyptian Govt had knowledge about US embassies being attacked back on September 4th..if they knew this information, was Obama informed, did he know about this? If he was I guess if he had bothered actually showing up to the Intelligence Briefings he would have known.
Just like old times:
Missed Committee on Veterans Affairs meetings “Obama claimed that veterans committee was ‘one of my first priorities.’ He said, ‘One of my first priorities was obtaining a seat on the Veterans Committee And the thing that I pledged when I was sworn in as the Senator was that if nothing else in the first couple of years in the Senate, I could make absolutely certain that there would have been a strong advocate in the United States Senate,’ at a Veterans Town Hall Meeting, May 23, 2005. “Obama has skipped 19 of 37 VA committee meetings in the 109th congress. Obamas attendance record was the second worst of all Democrats on the committee. He attended just 18 of the committees 37 meetings in Washington D.C.,” SusanUnPC reported December 20, 2007, at No Quarter Blog.

Who knew that Clint Eastwood’s Empty Chair speech would be the speech that defined Obama in the most simplest terms..he IS an empty chair
The intelligence meetings aren’t really working for him.
Surely this must be a mistake. Obama couldn’t have attended such a high percent of the briefings. There is no evidence form his actions and statements that he attended more than, say 10%. Get real.
I'm sure he was told about it anyway, if nothing else, I'm sure LTG "The" Clapper (ret) would tell him in a corner somewhere. The problem is Zippy didn't know what to do about it back then, and he still doesn't now.
You have to at least be present to duck a question and vote “present”. He can’t even do that right anymore.
I guess that explains having 43% of his intelligence.
Attended just under half the meetings. I guess he’s consistent.
If this was a pass-fail class, there’s no doubt that a 43% would be a FAIL. And that’s just on attendance.
Hard to squeeze them in between golfing, fund raising and glad handing.
THE EMPTY CHAIR-MAN Obama, today flies to Las Vegas to escape, escape, escape.
