Obama Attends About 43 Percent of His Daily Intelligence Briefings
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 09/12/2012 6:38:08 PM PDT by chessplayer

Has an empty chair been getting 56.2 percent of the president's intelligence briefings?

In light of the news that fatal attacks on U.S. diplomats in Benghazi, Libya, may well have been pre-planned by al Qaeda operatives, it would behoove the media to scrutinize just how infrequently President Obama sits in on his daily intelligence briefings. As Marc Thiessen noted in an op-ed in Sunday, September 10 edition of the Washington Post, President Obama sat in on his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) a mere 536 times out of his first 1,225 days in office. That's a mere 43.8 percent of the time. "By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting," the American Enterprise Institute fellow noted.

My college professors would have kicked my @$$ out of their classes if I only attended 43.8 percent of the time.

If an intelligence briefing is given and Zero is not there to hear it, does it make a sound?

If TOTUS and CHOTUS are there, who cares if Obama shows up? It's not like he has any interest in helping or even the potential to contribute ideas.

I just heard on Sean Hannity’s show that the Egyptian Govt had knowledge about US embassies being attacked back on September 4th..if they knew this information, was Obama informed, did he know about this? If he was I guess if he had bothered actually showing up to the Intelligence Briefings he would have known.

Just like old times:

Missed Committee on Veterans Affairs meetings “Obama claimed that veterans committee was ‘one of my first priorities.’ He said, ‘One of my first priorities was obtaining a seat on the Veterans Committee…And the thing that I pledged when I was sworn in as the Senator was that if nothing else in the first couple of years in the Senate, I could make absolutely certain that there would have been a strong advocate in the United States Senate,’ at a Veterans Town Hall Meeting, May 23, 2005. “Obama has skipped 19 of 37 VA committee meetings in the 109th congress. Obama’s attendance record was the second worst of all Democrats on the committee. He attended just 18 of the committee’s 37 meetings in Washington D.C.,” SusanUnPC reported December 20, 2007, at No Quarter Blog.

Surely this must be a mistake. Obama couldn’t have attended such a high percent of the briefings. There is no evidence form his actions and statements that he attended more than, say 10%. Get real.

I'm sure he was told about it anyway, if nothing else, I'm sure LTG "The" Clapper (ret) would tell him in a corner somewhere. The problem is Zippy didn't know what to do about it back then, and he still doesn't now.

Attended just under half the meetings. I guess he’s consistent.

If this was a pass-fail class, there’s no doubt that a 43% would be a FAIL. And that’s just on attendance.

You're sure? What? You have an inside track to the WH? What do you mean "I'm sure"? Give me a break. What makes you think anyone in that administration has the cojones to tell Obama bad news? What? He hasn't been to a security meeting for the past week. What is it that will convince you this ass doesn't give a damn?

Oh? Then why my reply? You're saying I'm not intelligent enough to see sarcasm when it's implied? Yeah, right. Forgive me for being belligerent tonight, but I'm damn mad about this, and I'm not standing for any division in purpose on our side.

I don't pay attention to the numbers who are anti-Romney. I know individual screen names, but that's about it. And that doesn't preclude some other ObamaBot coming out. Right or wrong, I don't give a damn. Yesterday was the watershed. Either we work together to get this POS out of office, prosecuted, and sent to jail for a damn long time, or we go down the tubes. And anyone with pretensions that Romney is worse than Obama is a dolt. And I'm still waiting for a reply from the person I first addressed...

Of all the meetings that dumbass should go to in his role as POTUS... Security briefings should have been the #1 priority. If Urkel was on the road, he still could have arranged to be briefed. Fact is, the the jug eared bastard doesn’t give a rats arse about our National Security.

He’s LAZY. When he does have anything resembling substantive on his calendar (available online) it’s often mid-morning. The time that many of us have already put in 5-6 hours.

So here’s my question following an act of war on our country... what exactly did we get for the BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars shoveled out to Egypt and other muslim crapholes around the world? What Barry, WHAT was the ROI on that??? And what the hell is our foreign policy- can it be explained simply? Sounds like the concept is to give our lunch money to the schoolyard bully, when in fact we can kick that bully’s ass. I’m sorry, just so sick of this crap.

Oh? Then why my reply? I have no idea.

You're saying I'm not intelligent enough to see sarcasm when it's implied? No, i never said that, you are saying that. I do doubt it, however.

Yeah, right. Forgive me for being belligerent tonight, but I'm damn mad about this, and I'm not standing for any division in purpose on our side. Welcome to the club. It is sometimes painful to pound the head against the wall, or argue with hardcore , well rocks.

I don't pay attention to the numbers who are anti-Romney. I know individual screen names, but that's about it. And that doesn't preclude some other ObamaBot coming out. Right or wrong, I don't give a damn.Yes, that is the ticket.

Yesterday was the watershed. Either we work together to get this POS out of office, prosecuted, and sent to jail for a damn long time, or we go down the tubes. Some reached that conclusion sooner, some later, but most have reached it.

And anyone with pretensions that Romney is worse than Obama is a dolt. Treasonous bass turd comes to mind, but that may be too strong in some circles. they have their opinion, and a right to it, after all.

And I'm still waiting for a reply from the person I first addressed...Well, that is between you and him. I will see you later, night.

Oh, and get on your hind legs and fight the good fight.
