Someone who has never been to one of their sites might well be unaware of what goes on there. Reading an article can only give us so much information.

Every single one of those dead babies is the result of some girl or young woman making the mental journey from "Holy crap! I'm pregnant! I can't handle this ..." to "Abortion is my only solution ..." There are forces in this world; forces in the mass media, in the public schools, in the demonicRat Party, in the courts, at Planned Barrenhood, fully dedicated to convincing that girl or young woman that abortion is her only option. They have both ideological and financial incentives to carry out their perverted agenda.

Thanks be to God, there are also forces at work in this world; forces in Churches, private schools, pregnancy centers, families, and elsewhere dedicated to convincing that girl or young woman that she should keep her child alive. They have no financial incentive, only their firm belief that abortion is a most foul and hideous wrong. They cannot do their work without also understanding the very deranged world in which the pregnant girls and young women they help are living.

So go ahead: post the numbers. They're important, and too few people know them.

But until you understand the horrid and very strange reality behind those numbers (and you evidence no understanding thereof), you won't really be able to reduce those numbers in the future.

I will continue with my belief that there are three parties to each abortion:

1. (the mother) The bearer of the child(ren)
2. (the enabler) The one who takes "mommy" to the abortuary.
3. (the killer) The abortionist.

I happened to know one of those "mommies" who pretended that she didn't know what they do at Planned Predators, pretended that she was just going to get rid of some "obligate parasitic cells," and every year since then, she admits that she knew quite well EXACTLY what she was doing and hates herself for it. Instead of a birthday of her child, all she has is a "death day" once each year when she realizes exactly what she did.

I pity her, but realize that she readily admits AFTER what she did, that she was complicit in the murder of her own child.

There certainly are abortion-minded women who fit that description, but they are one end of a continuum. At the other end are those women who absolutely will not, ever, willingly participate in an abortion regardless of the circumstances. There's a lot of ignorance, folly, malice, greed, coercion and deception in the middle. There's also a lot of truth, wisdom, compassion, prayer, and material help combating the evil. It's a spiritual battleground. Unfortunately, some folks don't understand it.

A friend, a University medical ethicist in the UK --- pro-life --- reports himself to be in a vanishingly small minority. If you can "con" the elite end-product of Western Civilization, the ones with a refined, Great Books Oxbridge education, you can certainly "con" a 20-something whose spiritual formation consists of TV, the public school and the Mall: there she is, with her positive pregnancy test and her head full of putty.

One of the abortionists here in upper east TN is a member of a local Christian church --- deacon or elder or something like that --- a good friend of the mayor, the (Republican) representative in the TN legislative district, and the chief of police.

The pregnant girls whose boyfriend drop them off at this guy's office --- they may know they're in the wrong. Maybe their blood tells them. But they're surrounded by a whole lying community --- the elders, the authority figures --- who say everything's fine.

Everything's just goddamn fine and dandy.

Yes, excellent point. Imagine a teenage girl (or even older) with an I.Q. of 90 who may not even really grasp how she became pregnant, and having adults in authority, and possibly her parents and boy friend telling her that abortion is the correct thing to do. Someone has to be on the side of that girl and her baby, because being against her may not do anything but scare her.
