The organizers of the Democratic National Convention apologized on Wednesday for accidentally using an image of Soviet-era Russian warships in its backdrop during a tribute to veterans at last week's convention in Charlotte, N.C.
The ships were shown on a screen behind 50 veterans assembled onstage Sept. 6 during a presentation by retired Adm. John Nathman.
"Due to vendor error, incorrect images appeared briefly on screen behind fifty-one veterans during the convention and the DNCC apologizes for this mistake," a Democratic National Convention Committee spokeswoman said in a statement to the Navy Times.

I’m guessing they apologized for the sake of republicans because I doubt the Dems would have figured it out. I had a chat with my daughter who was raised by her Dem father thanks to the courts. She was heavily involved with Young Democrats in college. She didn’t know who Harry Reid was. I got the opportunity to throw a few monkey wrenches into her gears. Some people just shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

The planes aren’t American, either. They may have been built in America, but no American demo team ever used F-5s. They are probably Swiss or Turkish.

I hope Romney will use this in his ads. It would be funny as Hell to see a TV ad with those ships and the words, “The Commander in Chief of the US armed forces, inlcuding the Navy, has no idea what OUR ships look like.”

Seems logical to me that communists would show pictures of communist ships. Vendor or not. They must have hired the vendor. They vetted the images. They showed the images. Seems really coincidental that the wheels are falling off the wagon now. Maybe someone is sabotaging them (HEAVY SARC INTENDED).
With all of the images of U.S. ships available, they “accidentally” used Russian ships? As usual, a poke in the eye to real Americans. More childish behavior. Absolutely intentional.
