I knew Freedom died a while ago (oh, about 2008), I just didn’t know how far we’d sunk.
The protests had more to do with a centuries old hatred for the Coptic Orthodox than for a fundamentalist’s homemade film.

On that day the hymns and prayers give thanks for the blessings of the year that is past, and ask continued peace in the year that lies ahead.
