More than 50 gas stations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania are jacking up prices to more than $9 a gallon to protest what they say are unfair pricing practices by Lukoil North America.
Sal Risalvato of the New Jersey Gasoline, Convenience, Automotive Association said Wednesday's protest is aimed at getting Lukoil to respond to dealers' grievances.
Fox affiliate WNYW reports that a station in South Plainfield, N.J., had signs listing regular gas for $8.99 a gallon and premium listed at $9.49 a gallon for cash and $9.59 for credit.

In a few decades, these will be the “good ol’ days”. You’ll be able to tell your grand-kids: “Why I remember when gas only cost ten bucks a gallon.”

Lukoil is one of the few businesses where I will literally go out of my way to avoid using them. I’d rather risk running out of gas than getting gas at Lukoil. They are a ripoff.

HOw many gallons have they sold at that price?
To: Opinionated Blowhard
Them and Citgo. Never buy from them. The other gas stations are not involved in this. The are putting Lukoil out of business and I could care less - they are Russian aren’t they?

The real price of regular at a station near my house just went to $4.00 today. This is a disaster, spell that D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R, for the American poor and middle class.
There isn't the slightest doubt. If Obama wins this nation is done.

8.99 a gallon = Go out of business. Here's what I know about it. Approximately 50 franchise holders, involving over a hundred service stations felt they could send a message in protest to the parent company.
They knew full well that they were going to lose money yesterday. It was only a one day protest.
They were being up charged 18 to 22 cents per gallon over other branded fuel stations from their respective suppliers. It was hoped that the projected the dip in sales running upstream would get noticed.
Lukoil is a Russian based Company with Lukoil North America setting market price.

Saw a Filling Station with a sign in it's window in Las Vegas the other day. Price of gasoline is .40 cents per gallon when paid for with pre 1965 dimes, quarters, half dollars.

I just paid $4.15 a gallon for 87 octane gas in Connecticut. I'm sick of paying so much to put gas in my truck. Maybe if we dressed our oil fields like gay men we could get Obama to drill them.
