The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Ohio was conducted on September 12, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence

Not much of a sample size .. 4.5 is a sizable MOE .. no #s shown at link for party weighting .. betcha it was minimum +5 for the communist bastard.

People !

Pay minimal attention to these polls !
They're RIGGED, every damned one of 'em, imho

Don’t worry about momentary public polling instances. Observe the trends over the last four years, the positioning, etc. Gravitas has Romney up by 5 in Virginia for example. Based on what I know in Virginia, R & R will take the Commonwealth with a decent margin. Ohio may be a little closer, but they will win there too.

Every important election since ‘08 has gone against Obama. People can’t stand him and his loser policies. I don’t care what the “polls” say. He will get routed. Remember Chick-Fil-A outbursts. The lines will be long on election day.

It’s the big cities. The three C’s. Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati. Along with Toledo, and Dayton. Mucho people in the cities getting free stuff, and stuff.

I call Bull*#@** on these polls i live north of Cincinnati and travel around the state nearly every yard has a Romney/Ryan sign and channel 12 news did a viewer poll and had nearly 4500 responses Romney was around 52% and Obama around 42% undecided around 12%-—People we know that voted for Obama in 2008 now have nothing good to say about him. So I believe the pollsters over sample the dems in Columbus and Cleveland.

I agree - I grew up just north of Cincy, as well - and I visit family up there all the time. You’re right - Romney/Ryan signs everywhere...and Obama is NOT the person they want in the WH.

I doubt he is.

None of this makes any sense. After the last convention CNN (CNN!!!) held a focus session. The consensus was Obama was getting a tad on the tedious side.

The long and short of it is, everyone except Chris Matthews, who plays with himself while staring at Obama's picture, thought the Democrats ran a pretty lackluster convention. The networks had to edit out the REALLY bad stuff.

I suspect Romney is winning this in a walk.

That’s why Ryan is important here. Wisconsin and Virginia are basically a wash as far as electoral votes go. Swap one for the other and win Oh, FL and MO and Zero goes the way of Jimmy Carter and becomes a one-term President.

Public poll instances are very subject to problems. What is the DRI split, when was it taken (i.e., weekend, etc.), what are the exact questions, registered versus likely, etc. issues are very significant at this point in time. In general, Rasmussen is the best public poll but only closer to November.

I’m not worried about Ohio. I’m from there and still have family and friends there. Romney and Ryan will win it come November.
