Given that most of the Libyans simply fled and the remainder actively betrayed us, an immobile, inanimate object would do a better job. Christ, I hope the Marines at the embassy were allowed to carry live ammo (unlike the Cairo embassy).

Just for the record, I'd like to note to everyone who reads this that even my liberal friends were able to see through the media and administration bullshit in the wake of the attacks a couple days ago. They know that blood is on the Obama administration's hands. I take this as a good sign. I'm going to work on them now. They won't vote Romney, but I put the odds at better than 50/50 I can convince them to stay home on Nov. 6th.

A bit more info from elsewhere on teh interwebs:

• The "protestors" got onto the embassy grounds, tore down the sign, burned the flag and some sort of minor outbuilding.

• NBC claiming 4-10k people showed up, and when they tried to break into the building itself and loot the Yemeni guards started shooting. The guards themselves took 24 casualties.

• No US personnel harmed or unaccounted for

• Pres. of Yemen immediately issued "personal apology" to Zero. (Even if he didn't mean it that's still more than can be said for Egypt or Libya or Iran or Morocco or any other hellhole).
