EDITORIAL: Islamist explosion not over film
The Washington Times ^ | September 14, 2012 | Editorial

There is no rational justification for irrational mob violence

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is emphatic that the anti-Islam video “Innocence of Muslims” is “disgusting.” This happens to be what most Americans feel about our flag being desecrated. For some reason, foreign governments don’t heap praise on the United States and its traditions every time their people commit acts of disrespect toward us. U.S. politicians could learn from their example.

In belated remarks Thursday marking the end of Ramadan, Mrs. Clinton expressed official disapproval of the film which has been blamed for the latest wave of anti-U.S. violence in the Muslim world. She made a reasonable point that people shouldn’t respond with violence when their religion is denigrated. Unfortunately, though, we aren’t dealing with reasonable people. Islamists don’t care about the Western tradition of tolerance, To them, it is one of our country’s many faults.

Mrs. Clinton has stressed that the U.S. government had nothing to do with the film, but this point is irrelevant. It didn’t matter to the extremists that the four Americans slain in Libya probably never heard of the movie clip. To the bloodthirsty mob, an American is an American. All are equally guilty; the four in Libya were simply available.

Wissam Buhmeid, commander of Libyan security forces in Benghazi, admitted his men abandoned the Americans to their fate because of the supposed insult to Muhammad. “There were definitely people from the security forces who let the attack happen because they were themselves offended by the film,” he said...

Mr. Obama can praise the religion of his fathers all he wants, but Muslims just don’t like him.

And his bragging about Getting Osama has put him at top of the Evil Satan list

Secret Service better be on alert

If a film offends fanatics of islam into revealing themselves or showing their brethren to be too lame to control them, all the more that additional films be made and widely distributed so the people who need killing reveal themselves...

This hasn`t got ANYTHING to do with ANY movie, those vermin simply hate US. Remember when the annual draw moo ham head (look that up on you tube) started? Whats the difference now? Remember this on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYGM2KMVqd0 so why weren`t those subhuman Neanderthals cr@pping a hemorrhage then?

BTW, pretty damn funny, huh?

As a Christian I have a hard time deliberately inciting my neighbor to violence (whether he is an atheist or a Muslim or some other faith). By all I can ascertain regarding this film, it was produced by an individual who had the sole intent of inflaming violence. For all I know it was an Obama operative. It’s still under investigation. The people in the film did not know how it was going to be used. Their words were overwritten in Arabic in a manner to offend. I don’t go for that stuff, no matter who does it.

Nevertheless, I have no problem taking up arms against fanatics who threaten life and property.

I have been looking closely at the Islamic mobs, I see some men who are wearing those white caps and others who don’t. Does anyone know if the white skull caps mean that the wearer is a mullah? Can any Islamic male wear this cap or is it reserved solely for the clergy.

Nothing has affected my bigotry towards Islam more The Beslan Massacre. It astounds me that so many people have never heard of The Beslan Massacre. 9/11 was one thing but when Beslan happened I was incensed. Targeting a School on it's first day of the year, knowing that whole families would be there, was just so out of bounds. Just the thought of what went on causes me to pace back and forth with rage, much like I did on 9/11.

I guess the muzzies figured out theaters where too risky so they targeted a School. One of the few things I like about the Russians and the Chinese is that they know how to deal with radical muzzies. Kill them.

Beslan, the word still makes my skin crawl. My boys go to school where anyone could walk in and start shooting. Oh, there are basic security measures, but they could easily thwarted by a determined individual.

Mass murder of school kids in the name of Allah..*shudder*

It still amazes me how the Clintons lick obama’s boots and kiss his ass. Is it because there is a shadow government who tells them what to do? Or is it because the Clintons sold their souls to the devil and now he’s getting his due.

The democrats have been getting laundered money from Islamic sources for a long time. It started going up a lot when John Kerry ran against Bush.

Some context:
These events were clearly planned for Sept 11 - the date, coordination, and organization of the initial events show clear premeditation and prior planning. Take away: the film is an excuse - not a catalyst.
.
Further context, for those who wish to discuss the “strong” rhetorical stance taken by the administration against such outrages as this obscure internet film...
Salman Rushdie:
In 1989 President GHW Bush made a public comment about Iran’s death decree for Mr. Rushdie “deeply offensive to the norms of civilized behavior”
In 1999 was named a Commander of the order of Letters and Arts by government of France.
In2007 Queen Elizabeth dubbed Rushdie a Knight Bachelor for his contributions to literature.
.
Fast forward to 2012:
President Obama accepts financial support and refuses to decry the statement of Bill Maher who dubs the Koran “a Hate filled Holy Book”. Indication - President Obama is on the side of religious free speech even when offensive to some.
And yet now President Obama, in his official capacity, apologizes and decries “offenses” caused by individuals exercising their free speech rights. Further his administration opens an investigation into the makers of the film in question. Indication - he puts the opinion of islamist radicals who seek to do harm to America and Americans ahead of the Constitutional rights of Americans.
.
To recap - the film is a straw man, a red herring, an excuse upon which the PR gurus of the radical violent islamists have hung their murderous actions as righteous. A previous president when faced with similar hatred and violence stood firm against the savage and uncivilized rhetoric and actions. A sitting monarch knighted an “offensive” author for his bravery and contributions to the arts.
And our current president: he defends public funding of the NEA which routinely and regularly offends Christianity, Mormonism, and other western religions, he accepts political financing from outspoken critics of religion who have said things about islam and christianity both that I dare not repeat on these pages, and then when faced with a true moral decision pint - he apologizes, kowtows, and hides.
When money and domestic political gain are involved - he sides with freedom for all - when he is called upon to make moral judgements and speak from the seat of power - he falls on bended knee, apologizes, and bows in the face of murder, violence, and direct attacks on his country, his government, and his people.
... just my 2 cents ...

While that comment was posted in hasty anger, regardless, Islam as it is sold by the vast majority of it's most "respected" mouthpieces is a malignancy upon human societies and one that at this point in time I don't see a lot of evidence for moderation or change in it's tenets. My belief is that until it's principle leaders meet and theologically moderate/edit out the coercive political/social aspects of it (most likely only under threat of force) it will continue to grow and torment non islamic societies and the west for the foreseeable future.
