Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, refused to answer on Sunday questions about the lack of Marines at the U.S. consulate in Libya prior to eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. She also punted when asked why the Obama administration initially, in its response to the unrest at the U.S. Embassy in Egypt, did not stand up for free speech or make any mention that the Internet video that mocked Muhammed was protected under the Constitution of the United States.

Blah, blah. UN Ambassador or not, she’s an Administration drone. I’d rather listen to someone like John Bolton, who was patriotic, and had reasoned views of policy and foreign affairs.

This year’s first presidential debate is scheduled to take place in less than three weeks, on October 3rd. Will Obama refuse to answer serious questions from the panelists, as he’s done at recent news conferences and which Susan Rice did today?
Yes, we know that all of this year’s debate panelists are Obama supporters, yet so are those who asked Susan Rice today’s unanswered questions.
With our economy ready to go over the cliff and the Middle East on fire, these are serious times in which debate questions of the usual What-is-your-favorite-type-of- pizza? variety will be frowned upon. Not only by Republicans but by journalists from all over the world attending the debates who will want to inform their readers about the candidates’ positions.
The questions will have to be serious, and to answer them without admitting his policy failures, Obama will have to lie. So why don’t he and and others in his administration like Susan Rice start practicing their lies now, instead of simply refusing to answer reporters’ questions and looking foolish?
