Iran atomic chief says 'explosives' cut power at facility (Hhmmmm...)

Explosive blasts destroyed power lines to Iran's underground nuclear facility at Fordo last month, the head of Iran's atomic agency said at a meeting of UN atomic agency member states Monday.

"On ... 17th August 2012, the electric power lines from the city of Qom to the Fordo complex ... were cut using explosives," Fereydoon Abbasi Davani told the 155-nation International Atomic Energy Agency gathering in a speech.

Davani did not accuse anyone of sabotage, but in the past Iran has claimed both Israel and the United States were behind the assassinations of nuclear scientists and computer viruses targetting its facilities.

The day after the power line blasts, "agency inspectors requested to conduct an unannounced inspection. Does this visit have any connection to that detonation?" Abbasi said through an interpreter.

"It should be reminded that the same act had been performed on the power lines to the Natanz facilities."

Fordo is a key site in Iran's nuclear programme, dug deep into a mountain to protect it against air strikes and enriching uranium to purities of 20 percent, a short step from the 90 percent needed for a nuclear weapon.

Iran says its nuclear programme is peaceful and that uranium enrichment is for power generation and medical purposes.

The box of tricks that Israel has prepared for Iran contains many surprises. It’s also a very big box.

Iran says its nuclear programme is peaceful

***********

Did obama learn to lie from them, or did they learn to lie from obama?

Israel will do what is necessary to protect herself. They do not need obamas permission. If I were Imanutjob, I would vacate the premises....pronto.

God bless Israel and her dear people.

Speaking of Iran’s “peaceful” nuclear program..yesterday on CNN, Candy Crowley was nagging and badgering Bibi about it too..practically INSISTING that Iran’s motives are peaceful..Bibi was incredulous.

I think Bibi knew he was speaking to an idiot.

I have had all the liberal stupidity I can handle for one lifetime.

As much fun as this looks like, I'd like to point out that Iranian news sources are less than 100% reliable.

Yes, they're less than 100% fiction, but it's possible this is a fabrication to garner sympathy or something.

Just sayin'.

If Iran’s entire nuclear program had been exploded out of existence, its news agency would still have issued the low-key report it issued today, since Iran does not want to draw undue worldwide attention to its failure to protect its nuclear sites. Which means it’s entire nuclear progam may, in fact, have been exploded out of existence today.

Who else but Israel could have done this? If Obama had sent the U.S. military to do it, he’d be apologizing profusely on all major news networks by now. Muslim countries wouldn’t attack a fellow Muslim country in the act of destroying a fellow Muslim country’s ability to terrorize Israel and the West.

Israel has made the world a safer place, and everyone should be grateful. Thanks, Bibi.

About the same time Iran’s ally Venezuela suffered some major explosions at its refinery.

True or not it’s just one example of what I’ve said all along. That cave facility needs a huge amoung of power to function at any level. When the air conditioning goes off they’re coming out of that hole like cockroaches. While a high line wouldn’t take a long time to fix their reaction to the problem would be a huge “tell” about their capability. Once they’re out of the hole a few photos to identify who came out could lead to the next step. There’s no way the Persians have a “deep bench” when it comes to plant operator/technicians. The simplest things can shut down a complex operation and “simple” happens.
