Political reporters on Twitter are saying they are standing by for a Romney media availability on the video released today by Mother Jones of Romney at a May fundraiser speaking frankly of his thoughts on Obama's base voters and their entitlement mentality, aka the 47% who pay no federal income taxes.
The media and GOP-E have jumped ugly on Romney tonight.
Steve Holland, Reuters: Romney at press avail to respond to video says his comments weren't "elegantly stated," and "could have said it in a more effective way."

LOL, I checked CNN and MSNBC for maybe 5 minutes apiece tonight. In no way can either of those nutworks count me among their "regular viewers".
I say "good job" as well, Julie. I just don't know what tricks the MSM have up their filthy sleeves. They appeared awfully gleeful over this tonight...

Our country has been on this socialist path for 60+ years. They and we, have allowed the take over of virtually all of our institutions and quite frankly, I don’t see it reversing unless some extraordinary events occur.
A single election is not extraordinary.
I remain skeptical of those who say they will do the right thing somewhere over the rainbow when skies are more blue.
When has he stuck behind anything that he believes hurts him among the electorate?
He will apologise, just as he has for everything else.

Romney is fundamentally anti-republican though. So I don't understand what you're saying.
Romney should start running his own ads using this same footage...to keep spreading the truth. Beat them at their own game....with plain hard facts.

Beats me. But they should NOT have the right to vote benefits for themselves that they don’t have to pay for. The purpose of government is NOT to allow poor people to rob rich people at will.
In a moral land, it wouldn’t matter. But as we increasingly reject God and individual responsibility, then we need to find a way to prevent poor people from voting themselves money.
I suspect the vast majority of poor working people have access to a LOT of government benefits. Food stamps, healthcare, etc. My wife is a nurse whose patients are mostly from the non-working poor, and their coverage under the state seems to exceed mine.
Again, the game is rigged. Even if you "win," you lose.
As I thought I stated earlier, I have NO OTHER choice.
All we can do is hope to buy some time.

Agreed. Romney needs to go on the offensive here—not defend against this sort of nonsense—however true it is.
Obama has but three tools in his back of tricks: character assassination, racism, and classwarfare.
This commment will allow him to use all three. Basically, Obama can only win by trying to destroy Romney because the man has no ideas, no credentials, and was perfectly portrayed by Eastwood’s empty chair. Perhaps the only thing Eastwood could have added would have been a bloody clotheshanger to complete the image.
