NPR Brings on CNN's Toobin to Say Obama's a Conservative, John Roberts Favors Radical Change

NPR’s Terry Gross brought on CNN judicial analyst Jeffrey Toobin on Monday to discuss his new book on the Supreme Court (called The Oath) for 44 minutes of her program Fresh Air. Toobin proclaimed that Barack Obama is the conservative when it comes to the Supreme Court, and John Roberts is the radical revolutionary. This is the same Toobin who complained overturning ObamaCare would be "judicial activism."

Toobin also claimed with a straight face (or at least an ungiggly voice) that Roberts voted to uphold ObamaCare to pave the way for more conservative decisions, to insulate the court from being found as political in the future—as if liberals won't denounce every conservative decision as political. Toobin also continued his tradition of bashing Clarence Thomas as "way out there" on the right-wing fringes. …

I don’t know but I further read the article from drudge this am about Scalia[from Toobin’s book] and wondered who the heck he was talking about? It was revisionist in the extreme, imho.

The Democratic Party is simply the political wing of the much more powerful - and brilliantly decentralized - MSM.

Toobin's remarks doesn't surprise me. I've read similar remarks from another commentator perhaps a month ago. Now that the election is dawning, it appears the Communist News Network, et al, are going back to the old game strategy of making the 0 look moderately conservative. I'm sure he was on NPR (I also have an affectionate name for them, it may not be appropriate for this forum! XD ) just to update them on the talking points.

The left's gonna really ratchet up the ad hominem attacks all the way to election day.

You could pick a guy off a bus in Philly....who would give you most of everything that Toobin would say. Why they pay this guy big bucks to be some on-the-air analyst amazes me.
