This is massive overkill over something that amounts to next to nothing. I think it's a dumb way to impress a girl, but I don't have a problem with the pilot going along with it if it was convenient to his duties. I know a couple of helicopter pilots who have done good deeds when they simply needed flight hours for the month. If they have to fly a certain amount anyways and they are not using it for personal profit, then I'm with you.
