Obama's Four Gallons of Gas Minimum Mandate
Fox News ^

Posted on 09/18/2012 9:33:08 AM PDT by tapatio

The latest mandate handed down from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is so ridiculous, even I was shocked. The EPA has now mandated how much gasoline you must buy at certain gas stations. Say hello to the Obama Administration’s four gallon minimum.

And my 2002 Yamaha 225cc usually takes about 1.3 gallons when I top off its almost 2.2 gallon tank.

Heck, motorized skateboards hold only a quarter of a gallon (42cc Terrain Surfer) and if prices go up much more that’s what many of us will be using.

I’ve got a five gallon gasoline container. I plan to fill it half-full tomorrow.
The clerk can either take my money or Zero and the EPA can kiss my a**.

No half gallon for my lawnmower was incomplete. Suppose I drive a Volt? Do I have to keep a five gallon fuel jug around because they won’t fill my little one to cut the grass a few times?

“How are you supposed to buy a gallon for your lawn mower, or if you have to walk to a station because you’re out of gas?” That’s simple. You simply buy the commonly available E10 fuel and you can buy as little as you need.

You have to buy 4g of whatever fuel shares that same hose. This is to purge the line of residual E15 that might be there, an admission that it poisons equipment.

E10 destroyed my John Deere lawnmower

I just buy pure gasoline for my riding mower, small gasoline engines, motorcycles, and pre-millenial cars. All of them run better and get better mileage on pure gas. You can actually feel the difference. For my newer cars, it doesn't matter as much. They run fine on E10.

I have two stations selling ethanol-less gas within 5 miles of my house. It's worth the effort. You can look up stations at the following website:

What if you can’t afford 4 gallons of gas? I’ve been there and still am.

I've also been there, and a couple days ago I was behind a guy at the local Stop & Rob who wanted "$10 on pump 3." Just in case the dense dictator-wannabees in the Fauxbama administration can't do simple math, $10 isn't going to buy 4 gallons of gas (or milk, for that matter - thanks a Shiite-load for both, you f'ing morons!).

I'd say, "Phuck'em!" FYI, next time I buy gas, I'm going to get 3.5 gallons repeatedly, until I've filled up my car.

Firts they put bootleg loquor in our gasoline. This destroys every piece of rubber it comes int contach with,...

When they took the lead out of gasoline it destroyed the valves in tens of thousands of pre-'70s vehicles forcing the owners to get loans on new plastic bubble cars. You think the FedMob gives a crap if they destroy your car with this? They see it as an economic stimulus.

...too many politicians receive too much in campaign cash to get behind a bill to end this monstrosity.

1. Term limit them out, so they won't need all that campaign cash.
2. Make all political contributions anonymous, so they can't sell influence. Maybe then they'll do what is right vs. what is politically expedient.

With a 32 gallon tank, 4 gallon won’t turn off the low fuel light. However my can for the lawnmower is only 3 gal. Maybe I can get a subsidy from Obozo to hire a lawn care service.

Ethanol just killed a very good Craftsman lawnmower. My chainsaw doesn’t want to run right either.

I’ll say it again, not a day goes by that this regime does something that makes me want to pull my hair out and scream.

Are there still gasoline stations that carry the stuff without ethanol?

If I can find one, that’s where I’ll go.

According to that the closest one to me is 45 miles away down a busy mountain highway and it’s a flight center.

A few years back I paid extra for Chevron because it was ethanol free but now that same station (here in Alabama) has the up-to-ten-percent sticker.

Interestingly, here in Alabama almost all the gas stations I frequent now have Ethanol FREE 87 Octane pumps.

Three guesses which pumps have the most takers.

Holy crap. If they want to increase gasoline consumption then get the price down to 2 bucks per gallon. Sales will skyrocket. Heck, I’d buy plenty so I can refill my 5 gallon storage containers again with “cheap” gas.
