Mitt Romney's October Surprise Is Going To Be Legendary (Ad carpet bombing)
Business Insider ^ | 09/18/2012 | Walter Hickey

The thing about the set of leaked videos from a Romney fundraiser that nobody is talking about is this part: The video was taken at a $50,000 per plate fundraiser in Florida. You may not have noticed, but despite the blur there are a lot of plates in front of a lot of people.

This is what people are still not grasping about Romney: He's about to open up the money floodgates in a way that Obama can't match.

Romney was wildly successful during the primaries — not as a result of his charm and personality — but because he had a massive pile of money.

He still has a massive pile of money in his campaign coffers, and by all margins he's continuing to raise large amounts of money, as we've found through a look into the Center for Responsive Politics' database.

If your vote is based on whom you like, then you’ve got a tough choice ahead of you. If you vote based on who would be best (or least bad) for the USA, then it’s not a tough call.

We declined but we have donated to Romney/Ryan but not nearly that much.

We have donated as well, and as generously as we can in view of the stakes. It’s a small price to pay if we can get the Usurper out of office.

“If he does that in this election [wait], he will have blown it”

I agree. No one could survive months of the Democratic attack machine and MSM without fighting back. “Define or be defined”.

(Romney’s primary opponents never had a chance and are no comparison to Obama now.)

But the good news is that Romney did start fighting back today, with a tape showing Obama talking “redistribution” and a Fox interview where Romney talked like a real Republican and said what he believed.

No, just go ahead and vote Obama. We know you want to. Maybe you’re hoping for some Obama cash too?

Not me.

That campaign slogan should certainly help to energize the base.

I have less confidence than you do in their ability to run a Presidential campaign, especially against the Obama administration thugs.

I do know here in VA it will be a very close race with the edge to Obama. The Dems have been running a huge registration effort almost from the day that Obama was inaugrated. They are at supermarkets, metro stops, malls, etc. They have registered an estimated 40,000 new voters this year. We don't have party identification in VA.

There is also concern about voter fraud. They register these people and then use the lists to get people to vote or perhaps vote for them. Early and absentee voting gives them plenty of time to have Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck vote along with illegal aliens and green card holders. Unfortunately, our governor, wussed out on passing a tough voter ID law and instead had to be frog marched to sign a watered down bill. I guess he was entertaining being the VP nominee.

Most Reps don't have a clue on combatting the Dem street fighters who will do anything to win. Elections are being stolen right under their noses. We can't allow this to happen this time or it is all over for this country.

Saving the Republic from certain death under a second Obama administration is all the base needs to be energized. No slogans necessary this time around. We are removing an existential threat from the White House.

What happened to the “carpet bombing” ad buying that was supposed to take place after the DEM’s convention? Did that take place?

I live in Texas, and nobody gives a crap about us, so I’ve seen very few ads by any opponent. But then again, I’m not a big TV guy.

For that reason, I'll probably hold my nose and vote for Romney... but I won't like it. I'll continue to long for the day when I can vote for a president that will actually do what's necessary to save this country.

... that day will have to come.

“Obama’s main surrogates are the DNC, Priorities USA, and — at least in this election — the SEIU.”

He left the msm off the list. The msm are doing everything they can to help Obama including outright lying. That is a big hill to overcome. I just hope the msm has been so over the top or over reaching that it is becoming more obvious to people as to what is going on.

Is he going to have a Romney Channel the way there was an Obama channel?

I like him because he can win. That is the full extent of my like for him. He is to the right of Obama, if not as far as I’d like, i.e., he is not a treasonous cur, and he can win. Period.

I like him because he can win.

"If I give you a forty five percent chance at lethal injection, a fifty percent chance at the electric chair, and a five percent chance for escape which are you going to vote for? The electric chair, because you're likely to win?" - Michael Badnarik

... just sayin'

[So, is that why I’m supposed to like Romney then?]

No, you are supposed to sent money to his opponent.

There is only one problem with your strategy - there is something called EARLY VOTING. You better get close in a race before early voting start or you won’t win.

can’t wait for the last minute....
