Clint Eastwood Republicans Were 'Dumb' To Ask Me to Speak at RNC

Clint Eastwood finally admitted what everyone already knew ... the GOP made a HUGE MISTAKE by hiring him to speak at the Republican National Convention -- calling Mitt Romney's people "dumb" to ask him in the first place.

Clint opened up in a recent interview with Extra's Jerry Penacoli, claiming, "If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get.”

It's a pretty crazy statement ... considering Clint had previously rebuffed critics of his infamous "Invisible Obama" speech by refusing to admit the entire thing was a train wreck.

Clint insisted he was just expressing his feelings -- but now, it's pretty clear he's starting to realize the truth ... it just wasn't a good idea.

When asked if he'd do it all over again -- the 82-year-old replied, "I never look backward. It’s done and it’s done. I probably would. I wouldn’t be afraid of it."

Sounds like this was taken out of context.

Of course it was taken out of context. It’s TMZ.

I think he’s just prodding them to get more knee-jerk reactions.

Just when it was beginning to fade, they’ve brought it to life again.

As he hints at the end, he’s so “dumb,” he’d probably do it again next time he’s asked!

Its pretty pathetic to take whats clearly a tongue-in-cheek comment and try to spin it as validation of what clearly is a leftwing take on Clint's performance.

But what else would we expect.

Yes, TMZ, this is clearly Clint admitting his speech was a train wreck. He meant this statement to be taken literally. /s

Jeez.

That’s a figure of speech. When I was packing my stuff up after getting laid off due to funding issues I told the boss “if you’re dumb enough to hire me again I’m dumb enough to work for you again”. We’re still friends 10 years later, though he’s never spawned another company so we haven’t tested our stupidity.

the author is deceptive at best.
Eastwood is simply being modest.
and, he says he WOULD probably do it again.
-
and even if it was stupid...
it clearly was beneficial to Romney.
even BEFORE the graphics appeared of the “empty chair”,
after it came out that Obama missed ALL his security briefings, in the week prior to 9-11.
-
Einstein couldn’t have designed a better image after that!

Clint's appearnce at the GOP convention was magnificent.

We the masses loved it, but closed club RINOS didn't.

Way to go, Clint!

Would like to hear what Sarah Palin thought of it.

COMPLETELY out of context. Clint was just being self-deprecating about his speaking abilities, not saying he made a mistake. Geez.

"If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get.”

And we got more than we could have expected!

-Thank You-

self-dep·re·cat·ing (slfdpr-ktng)
adj.
Tending to undervalue oneself and one’s abilities.

This is a personal trait resembling modesty and completely alien to the Obama mindset.
Barry is Maestro of everything he has ever attempted in his life.
And if you don’t believe that, just ask him. Or any Democrat.

Spin.Spin. . and more Spin . . . Clint’s FANTASTIC talk smarted the thin-skinned Obama’s butt crack.

What the idiot who wrote this article meant is that everybody in his or her liberal bubble thought it was a train wreck. Probably the only Republicans who thought it was a diaster are the east coast, hoity toity Pubbies who look down their noses at the riff raff i.e. all the awful Tea Party types.
