New information suggests White House knew about pending attack on U.S. consulate in Libya

As information on last week’s attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya continues to be released, questions about how much the Obama administration knew and when officials knew it are piling up.

On Friday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters the raid that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and two other Americans was “in response not to United States policy, and not to, obviously, the administration, or the American people, but it is in response to a video, a film that we have judged to be be reprehensible and disgusting.”

U.S. ambassador to the UN Susan Rice said echoed Carney’s explanation on Sunday, claiming that the attacks in Libya were a “spontaneous” response to a “reprehensible” video about the Prophet Muhammed released by an American filmaker, and were not a reflection of anti-American sentiment abroad.

The administration official described the incident as one in which “a mob was ultimately hijacked by a handful of extremists” on CNN’s ”State of the Union.”

“People gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent. Those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons, which unfortunately are quite common in post revolutionary Libya, and that then spun out of control,” she said on “FOX New Sunday.”

Is this the “false flag”?

Here is what I think and it is based on information in the public domain. Looking at this Ambassador’s career he may have been former CIA. He went to meet someone to either obtain or transfer something. He traveled in a small group that included two SEALS on the payroll of “whom” and a tech guy that made contact in a gamer chat room to say they were surrounded. This house was a CIA safe house as best I can determine. They were traveling in an unarmored vehicle? They were double crossed .

WHAT WERE THEY TRYING TO OBTAIN OR TRANSFER? WMD? FALSE FLAG?

Please this is all speculation so take it with a grain of salt. If it was anyone other then Obama I would think my comments from a crazy man, but it is Obama so anything could happen.

I don’t think you’re wrong to question the story the Obama administration is telling us, but my understanding is that he was at the consulate when it was attacked, and at that time they moved the Americans from the consulate to a safe house. I’m not sure that he made it out of the consulate with the others, however. And yes, not only did they know he was at the consulate, they knew where the delegation had been taken to—suggesting presumably Libyan informers from within.

Wasn’t there also something about his being there for some sort of opening/announcement of a partnership with a US teaching hospital, so he was expected at a ceremony at the hospital the next morning?

I am sorry something doesn’t add up, a hospital meeting near the center of the hotbed of unrest in the country? I found this in an article, he had worked in Iran.
The first time I met Chris Stevens was in the summer of 2010 on a blind date. Chris had sat on the State Department’s Iran Desk at one point, and as I was born in Tehran, Iran was our initial ‘connection.’ We wouldn’t date again that year; Chris’s work with the Foreign Service meant he would always be leaving for someplace new and my own itinerant childhood growing up in various countries caused me to recoil a little from his fluid lifestyle

Amen brother this is a crazy time, Japan sending ships to Confront China, an Iranian sub showing up in the straights near our carrier groups and this event. I feel blessed I have a place to go and plenty of guns,ammo , food and water as this could get hot.

Thanks, Does not rule out a meeting the night before under the cover of this event but makes it less likely . I still do not understand how he was traveling so light without an armored vehicle using local contractors and only the two SEALS. This is the hottest area in country. He may be that stupid but I do not think the Operators were. They would have demanded more support unless the mission did not allow it do to restrictions in the contact. Just my opinion.

An American doctor who was staying somewhere wlse in town was quoted in an article as being in Benghazi for such an event. I think you have the ambassador confused with him.

Did you even bother clicking through to my link? It was in the NYTimes (and not the only source) saying that they were scheduled to meet the ambassador at the hospital the next morning.
