Open Media Assault On GOP Candidate
Right Side News ^ | 19 September 2012 | J. D. Longstreet

I have lived through a lot of presidential election cycles since FDR and I must tell you, this one is, indeed, strange -- to say the least!

For the first time in my memory, the Mainstream Media is in open assault in the GOP candidate for President.» If you like this article, please donate to Right Side News Daily

The so-called "fourth estate" (A nick-name for the press) has dropped all pretense at being non-biased and have thrown their lot in with President Obama and the democrats and have turned all their fury loose on his challenger, Mitt Romney, the GOP candidate.

I only hope this is accurate about the reactions of the populace. I fear, however, that people generally still accept what they see in the papers and on the networks.

I see many more “Don’t trust the liberal media” stickers than Obama stickers. So maybe people are getting it.

No, the media is over-playing their hand. I had an apolitical friend point out to me that the media has become part of the Obama campaign and that she is sick of them smearing Romney instead of discussing issues that matter. The media is too obvious with their agenda. She’s voting for Romney. Interestingly, she is exactly the kind of voter the Dems are targeting. She is pro-choice and pro-homo marriage. She is cluelss bout poliics. She thnks Obama is a good guy. She is voting on fiscal issues this time around though. She is ticked that Obama continued to run up the deficit/debt after calling it “unpatriotic” and “irresponsible” and promising to cut the deficit in half his first term in office. Romney should run and ad about that, btw. There are so many hard-hitting ads Romney could run. Why isn’t he?

Absolutely no doubt.

Well, actually it’s a continuation of what happened four years ago. When media trucks lined the streets by Joe the Plumber’s house, and went ballistic trying to dig up any kind of dirt (divorce, taxes) to smear and discredit him... an average, everyday citizen-on-the-street who dared to question their Messiah... all while consciously ignoring any tiny investigation into Obama’s mysterious past... well, then and there, I knew America and its media/political dynamic had entered a new world. One where the media has TOTALLY devolved into propagandistic enforcers for the socialist ruling-class. Very akin to Soviet or dictator-style societies. And proof America is probably on its last legs.

"... before another black man takes up residence at 16000 Pennsylvania Avenue."
Actually, it may not be very long since this is pretty far down the street from the White House.

I think when Romney is elected, he should revoke the white house press credentials of any reporters that publish lies. That’s the only way we can put them on notice.

EXCELLENT IDEA! However, maybe most of these slobbering- foaming-at-the-mouth obama fanatics will be out of work.

I think you're correct. As goes Obama, the mainstream media will be sure to follow. Obama loses and it's the death knell of his press arm. I think that's why they're fightig so hard to destroy Romney and save the Obama disaster.

At his peril will Romney, should he win, keep normal access to the White House for ABCNBCCBSREUTERSAP. Put them in the back of the room and put friendly/unbiased reporters in the front: NRO, AT, FAUX, IBD, LT etc. . .

You said it FRiend. Until they are disposed of as partisan shills, the country is going to face a huge uphill climb.
We are in such bad shape on every front yet they continue to whistle past the graveyard while attacking Mitt for everything under the sun.
It’s ridiculous and I am fed up.

The “Fourth Estate” is not a “nickname” for the press. It was first used in the late 1700’s to refer to the press as the fourth sphere of influence in Britain - the others being the Lords Temporal (aristocracy), the Lords Spiritual (clergy) and the Commons. By referring to this description of the press as a “nickname,” the power that the press wields is not acknowledged. No one should dilute that description because THE FOURTH ESTATE IS THE FIFTH COLUMN. (Fifth Column = a group of people who act traitorously and subversively ***within their country*** to undermine it out of a secret sympathy with its enemies, especially during a time of war.)

It’s not just “news” companies. David Letterman’s lips were firmly pressed to Zero’s posterior again last night.

The media is squirming like a speared snake because they can no longer hide the truth.
The job is almost over replacement is near.

Romney is a gentleman and does not deign to suggest that the kenyan would lie about things. Dole was like that as were McCain and Ford and Bush I and to some extent, Bush II. Republicans would rather lose elections than be impolite to Democrats.
