Updated 11:29 p.m. Mitt Romney's campaign this week has pounced on a 14-year-old clip of Obama speaking about "redistribution" in October 1998 at a conference in Chicago, in which the future president seems to extol the virtues of redistributing wealth. Yet NBC News has obtained the entirety of the relevant remarks, which includes additional comments by Obama that weren't included in the video circulated by Republicans. That omission features additional words of praise for "competition" and the "marketplace" by the then-state senator.

State run NBC obviously is worried their boy got dinged pretty badly yesterday.
He’s doing little more than acknowledging the realities of competition and the marketplace...much like his Obiecare plan to weaken private healthcare and insurance to drive everyone to single payer in good time
Apparently the White House must’ve faxed them the talking points to spin this properly.
They should devote a new college to Andrea Mitchell....
Call it the Andrea Mitchell school of propaganda.
Fakers like Andrea Mitchell talk big but you better believe she and husband Alan Greenspan have good tax lawyers and pay the least they are legally required. If their wealth was properly re-distributed by her mocha messiah they would scream (at top of lungs) like stuck pigs. Lawrence O'Donnell is a true believer (in his Jug Eared messiah) and would not complain
NBC =
Nothing
But
Commies
Meantime; seems Repubs still are buying the 'talk it; just don't name it' MO per Obama video; inasmuch, as only a few, have stepped forward to the point of identifying the 'thing in itself' i.e. the Marxist/Communist Prez in our White House.
(Meantime, America is burning - and the world for that matter. Literally and as well; metaphorically as warning. We cannot waste time on the 'nit picking' as it is a distraction to the task at hand; which is to put this damning; nation-destroying fire out).
Look at the link. On the title screen shot the video is labeled “Obama on efficiency of government in 1998” and the title above the screen shot is “In rest of ‘98 clip, Obama speaks of ‘competition’ and ‘the marketplace’”. Especially when you compare it to the way they presented Romney’s mundane 47% remark, it just so preposterously dishonest, it amazes me, even for the MSM.
You cannot get any more craven than this. They are spinning so hard, its a wonder they still keep up the pretense of calling themselves NBC instead of DNC-TV.
Here is the same NBC “First Thoughts” page caption of the first item on the 47% video “Romney fundraiser video stirs controversy”
What controversy? Who stirred it?
because the news never plays selective quotes - they always play the whole speech, however long it may be </sarc>
Ah, Passive Voice Theater! "Experts say" it is one of the best tools for attributing the journalist's opinions to some unnamed other source. An unnamed senior administration official has expressed "grave concern."
