The Obama administration is weighing the release of blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman — the spiritual adviser to the 1993 World Trade Center bombers — in a stunning goodwill gesture toward Egypt that has touched off a political firestorm, officials said yesterday.
The Egyptian government “asked for his release,” an administration source told The Post — and Rep. Peter King (R-LI) confirmed the request is being considered.
The White House, State Department and Justice Department each issued statements denying any deal is in the works, but, “There’s no way to believe anything they say,” said Andrew McCarthy, the former assistant US attorney who prosecuted Abdel-Rahman. “I believe there may already be a nod-and-wink agreement in place.”

They'll let him go, and assure us he'll be kept in a prison in his "home country" for humanitarian and health reasons.

Come to a compromise with Egypt. Keep the Blind Sheik’s body in the U.S. and send his head back to Egypt.
It is outrageous that to compare Obama with Neville Chamberlain.
Neville Chamberlain was an honorable man who misunderstood his adversaries while seeking peace. Though he was working with a flawed model for diplomatic conduct, Chamberlain genuinely believed that he was acting in Britain’s interests.
Obama, on the other hand, is more like Quisling.

I had also heard that Eygpt wants the producer of the “Innocence of Muslims” as well as Terry Jones turned over to an Islamic court.
Absolutely not surprising and I expect it will be done. Let us not forget: This is a President whose first and foremost concern is assisting Islamic terrorists which is why on his very first day in office, the very FIRST thing he did was try to close down Gitmo. Above EVERYTHING else, this was his #1 priority the minute he stepped into the Oval office on January 20, 2009.
