MSNBC's Ratings Wins Spur Calls for a New Host: Anthony Weiner?
NewsBusters ^

On Monday and Tuesday, MSNBC won over Fox News in the ratings in the key demographic of viewers 25 to 54 -- the prized audience for advertisers. Rachel Maddow had bigger ratings in the demo than longtime cable-news ratings king Bill O'Reilly. In their time slots, Maddow defeated Hannity, and Lawrence O'Donnell beat out Greta van Susteren in those numbers.

I would rather get my news from people who don’t look like a young boy still behind the ears.

"I’d rather see shows formatted like “the panel” that is featured on the last 15 minutes of Special Report. I could watch the panel for a full hour easily."

I try to catch that daily. Some days there's not enough news to fill the 15 minutes......

During the primaries I quit watching FOX for I couldn’t take the Romney 24/7 love fest any more.

There is NEVER a love fest for Romney on Fox...they have so many liberals on their shows, plus the Fox talking heads also do a good job of bashing Romney. For every positive remark they make sure to get a negative in there somewhere.
At least the liberals all have their talking points and NEVER veer off the BASH ROMNEY/PRAISE OBAMA menu. NEVER!!!

I think they’re looking at him for the early evening. He could give Shep some stiff competition.

Rachel Maddow beat out Bill O’Reilly?

Thats especially incredible. He’s been on top since forever, and by a big margin. And a clownish buffoon like Madcow beats him?

Fox News sucks, I stopped watching over a year ago. Nothing but advertizing all the time, very little real news coverage plus Fox bashes real conservatives at every opportunity. It does not surprise me one bit that viewership is falling. I expect that to continue. CNN is leftest but at least they do a little real reporting every now and then. Fox is nothing but talking heads yelling at one another. Fox is unwatchable.

Time for FOX to shake up the lineup.

“Red Eye” is fresh, hip, relevant and fun. But FOX News runs it at 3am.

“Five at Five” is pretty good. But people are still coming home from work then.

BOR is contrived and tired. BOR goes out of his way to be “fair” by supporting the liberal side 50% of the time. Which means he’s wrong 50% of the time. Refuses to call Obama a socialist, despite the evidence.

And Shep Smith and Geraldo? ‘Nuff said.

Sean Hannity is about the only “true” Conservative left on there.

PULEESE! Are you f-ing kidding me? Conservative is his "brand". FOX, including your precious Hannity, has way to many flaming libs on every show. Who wants to listen to Sean spout his 2010 tired old talking points while his guests try to outshout each other (That Tamara chick needs to be banned)? His shows (radio & TV) are just too tedious to listen to or watch anymore. I had to quit before my head exploded.

I do it hard to believe that PMSMSNBC beat out FOX. If that's true, this country is in sadder shape than I thought.

Good post. Excellent job of describing that fool, O’Reilly. I haven’t watched his show in over 2 years.... I have NEVER liked him or his antics.

I do watch Hannity and Greta, but they can be frustrating.

I almost never watch MSNBC, except to see what the enemy is up to... they make me sick.

How, pray tell, does this hurt Romney/Ryan? Anybody that says they “haven’t made up their mind yet” is a liar. The debates will be the ultimate indicator and the few idiots that might still be “on the fence” will go R/R. Fake ratings are just as possible as fake polls with this bunch of thugs in the WH. Maddow and Co couldn’t beat Barney the Purple Dinosaur, much less Fox.

About the only redeeming part of O’Reilly is Dennis Miller on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, I missed him last night.
