Virginia Senate candidate Tim Kaine, a Democrat, said that he's open to having a "minimum tax level for everyone,"

until after I win the election by tricking enough of you red-state rubes to vote for me, he though with a wry smile on his face, noticing at the same time President's hand slowly moving down his back to rest at his butt crack.

Anybody who thinks that "the poor don't pay taxes," doesn't know what they are talking about. The poor pay taxes in the goods they buy (you know, the ones that corporations "pass on to consumers"). They pay property taxes in their rent. They pay sales taxes. They pay taxes on cigarettes and alcohol. They pay gas taxes.

The poor just don't know how much they are paying. That way, they get to think that what they are getting from the government is "free." It is politically very useful to the fat cat limousine liberals that run the Slave Party, while still keeping the poor on the plantation.

In fact, the poor may pay a higher fraction of their income in taxes than do extremely wealthy people who hide their income in corporate expenses, tax exempt foundations, and offshore.

The Stupid Party has TOTALLY failed to communicate these facts to the public, playing the chump while feeding the Slave Party game of class warfare. It is a huge political opportunity to do such an analysis and they are so stuck in this fantasy Hegelian dialectic they can't even recognize it.

Everyone should have some skin in the game — including the poor. Even if it is just a token amount, but enough to give them pause when they hear promises of more government spending.

We’d have a much smaller government now if *everyone* had to ask himself, How much will this great new government program increase my taxes?

Hope Romney prepars for the question of whether he supports taxing the 47% who pay no taxes. No doubt, this was a setup for that question to be asked. Obama will have his focused group answer ready. I expect Obama to have access to all the debate questions, and to have focused grouped answers ready for all of them. The moderator’s job will be to protect Obama and smear Romney.

Actually this is a great opportunity for the Republicans.

Increasing taxes on ANYONE in the middle of the Greater Depression is a disastrous idea.

Kaine is trying to triangulate. He wants to try and appeal to everyone.

Problem is, the key words are “pay taxes.” He wants everyone to pay more taxes and that is not the issue. The issue is the spending.

Yes, many more people should have a stake in this country and not be given hand outs as a method to buy their votes and keep them on the ‘reservation.”

But there’s not enough taxes to be had, even at 100%, to fund the type of spending the Democrats and progressives are proposing...and they are doing that with a will with the idea of fundamentally tearing down our free market society and building a command economy on its ashes.

That’s what we have to address...and we’d best be quick about it.
