By now my colleagues in the Senate are familiar with the tragic story of Pakistani doctor Shakil Afridi. Since Dr. Afridi was taken into custody by Pakistani officials in May 2012, I have been fighting for his release. I have also been working for a vote on a bill that would cut foreign aid to Pakistan until they free this ally of America.
In the weeks leading up to that attack on the compound by SEAL Team 6, there was a doctor in Pakistan who helped us determine Osama bin Laden’s exact location. Dr. Afridi risked his own life to provide the American military with intelligence that confirmed the particular location of the bin Laden compound. The information provided by Dr. Afridi directly led to bin Laden’s death.
Dr. Afridi remains under arrest and has been subject to torture. If Pakistan wants to be our ally — and receive foreign aid — then they should act like it, and they must start by releasing Dr. Afridi.
As I was fighting this battle, tragedy struck again in the Middle East with the attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, at the U.S. consulate, and the attack on the U.S. embassy in Egypt. I, like many Americans, was outraged. I believe that the perpetrators of these senseless acts of violence must be brought to justice, but I also believe that Libya and Egypt must be held accountable in the same way.
Therefore, I have proposed a bill to demand that until the Libyan police hand over suspects to U.S. officials, and until the Egyptian government vows to protect our embassy, any U.S. foreign aid will be suspended.

In a shocking - SHOCKING - turn of events, Democrats don’t want to be forced to vote against something so obviously popular until AFTER they face the voters on election day. I guess they can’t allow the voters to have a recent memory of what anti-American scumbags they are when it comes time to pull the lever, can they?
Well, now we know where the dimocrats stand.
Can they do ANYTHING that is is the best interests of our country, EVER???

You see, after hearing from tens of thousands of patriots like you, Harry Reid called me last night and offered to hold a vote on my bill to cut foriegn aid.
But now, some members of my own party are attempting to sabotage the whole thing!
That's why I'm counting on your IMMEDIATE action right now. There's no time to waste!
It looks like some of my Republican colleagues are determined to continue their support for foreign aid - so much so that they are attempting to block even a vote from taking place.
What are they afraid of?
Only your pressure can turn this around and get us our vote!
So please, call your U.S. Senators THIS MORNING and demand they allow a vote on my bill.
It’s flagrantly obvious that Pakistanis no friend of the US. They take our money, and laugh at us as they use it to train terrorists. They took an active role in hiding the man responsible for the deaths of 3,000 Americans.
What utter fool would cut their “Foreign Aid” until they release a single man (no matter how worthwhile that man may be)? We already know that as soon as the aid is restored, they will continue to stab us in the back.
How about we take a position of strength, instead of insisting on a position of weakness? Instead of cutting the “Protection Money” we are paying to a country of ignorant thugs, how about we cease and desist aide to that part of the world, and tell them to release the good Doctor - that is, if they still care to see their capital city standing.
You need to talk to them in a language they are capable of understanding - they do not speak “Civilization” - to them it screams “weakness”. And we all know that Muslims are hell on those they perceive as weak - they only respect strength.
This is the member of the Paul family that would have my vote for President!
Cut off aid? The good senator must be joking. Will never happen. And it won’t matter which party has the majority. These countries will continue to spit on us, even kill our citizens and the US govt. will continue to throw our tax dollars at them.
If they don't want to be an ALLY... reduce their AID to ZERO and give it back to the US TAXPAYERS!!!
