French interior minister Manuel Valls just confirmed that no protests would be allowed over the Mohammed cartoons, according to Reuters.
"There will be strictly no exceptions. Demonstrations will be banned and broken up," he said.
Think that'll pacify the 10 percent of France who are Muslims?
France has already closed 20 embassies around the world in fear of backlash. Too bad it cannot outlaw protests in these countries.

Oh, yes. Free speech DOES extend to terrorists. As long as they are committing no unlawful act, or clearly inciting a riot, they get to talk just like the rest of us. Or demonstrate, or march, or write.

I totally agree. I believe islam should be outlawed in America for our own protection because, as you say, it is antithetical to our Constitution. Mosques should be destroyed as terror training centers. Sharia is creeping into American law, thanks to the left, but Christianity is being more suppressed every day. No Bible verses on cheerleader signs at school football games but special accommodations are made in public schools for muslim students. I fear it will only get worse. The muslim camel’s nose is literally under the tent.

If and only if said protests become violent, or if said protests clearly incite imminent violence, then can law enforcement act.
Until then, they can speak, march, and tote banners without interference from government.
They can even write their opinions for all the world to see.

Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Robert Ziolkowski vacated the “breach of peace” ruling against anti-Islam activists Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp on the grounds that they were denied due process.
On appeal, Ziolkowski reversed that ruling. He said the jury should have been instructed to make their verdict based on a “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard instead of the lower preponderance criteria.
Ziolkowski also threw out the order barring Jones and Sapp from visiting the mosque. While the judge said Dearborn’s desire to prevent any gathering, without regards to its content, at that location on that day was reasonable, he said banning the men for going to that site for a period of three years was “overly broad and restrictive.”
But Ziolkowski also ruled the breach of peace ordinance is constitutional, based on long established “time and place” speech restrictions. He also said the ordinance was properly applied in this case.

It is if you're going to use the potential "breach of peace" to stop a protest. That's what happened with Jones on that particular day.
And while Jones protests appear to be peaceful, a reasonable person can conclude that nearly all Muslim protests end in some form of violence (breach of peace).
Jones provided another precedent for banning all of them.
The fact that they exist and practice their prehistoric, inhumane religion is a crime against humanity. That’s an “unlawful” act in my book.
I’d like to see what a bunch of U.S. Marines coupled with a bunch of Foreign Legion would do unleashed in one of those ME/North African hell holes.
United States Marines have kicked Barbary Coast muzzies’ @ss from 1798 all the way through Teddy Roosevelt declaring “Perdicaris alive or Rassouli dead”.
Marines & Legionnaires would make a fine team cleaning out jihadis in North Africa. I hope the strategic planners at Parris Island and Academie St. Cyr have already thought this through and only need political leaders with b@lls to carry it out.
