Pakistani protesters clash with police on Muslim "Day of Love"

Demonstrators clashed with police in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Friday as anger over insults to the Prophet Mohammad boiled over despite calls from political and religious leaders across the Muslim world for peaceful protest.

Western diplomatic missions throughout the Muslim world tightened security, with some closing down on expectation of big protests after Friday prayers.

An anti-Islam film made in America has enraged Muslims and led to days of protests across the Muslim world while cartoons mocking the Prophet Mohammad published in a French magazine on Wednesday were expected to compound the anger.

Pakistan has declared Friday a "Day of Love for the Prophet Mohammad". Critics of the unpopular government said it was pandering to Islamist parties.

I turned on F&F for about 5 minutes this morning and caught Geraldo carrying the water for the regime (riots caused by the video, the regime's apology was warranted, etc). Disgusting. But it's awesome that Pakistan declares a holiday so the whole country can show their love for us. /sarc

How many riots were there at Tea Party events? Deaths? Damaged property? Trash on the ground even?

I guess conservatives rioting just isn’t a “natural” thing (as Obama described Muslims rioting).

There have been too few muzlim uprisings lately. After the French cartoons I expected today to be filled with muzscum partying everywhere.

Either the media is hiding it or these jihadis are slacking.

Am going to tell a truth. The truth is am growing tired of American media telling lies. The American media knows they are telling lies, and Americans are told these lies constantly. Here is the truth ... moslems do not give a flying flip about videos or cartoons of their moham-mad guy. This proganda is being used (the lies in our country and their country always lied) for a purpose. That purpose is money. Moslems want our money, and inflence inside of Western Government to say what can and cannot be done, and how much money Western Government have to pay moslems, because Western Nations are not of islam. It is called tribute. We, our leaders, have obliged for decades by buying the arab street’s silence. The arab street and the arab governments want a raise. Add it up FRiends.
