““I’m certainly looking at the race now. Todd’s a good conservative; he’s been a good representative for a long time. He did make a mistake and said it was a mistake,” DeMint said. “

Since Akin’s going the distance, may as well help him. Some other GOP Senate candidacies are flatlining, so every possibility has to be explored.

First Newt. Now DeMint. At this point, we need a pragmatic approach... He’s a solid conservative, far better than McCaskill... and we NEED this seat.

saw a poll that has Todd up by 4-5 points....mccaskill is a disaster, and she wouldn’t even be the incumbent without all the voter fraud in KC & STL.

First Newt. Now DeMint.

Very good news. It makes no sense for the GOP-e...or any real conservative, to abandon Akin.

Good on Newt and DeMint for showing real leadership.

This mess actually started a full month of dropping polls for many GOP candidates. I truly believe his mouth will end up costing far more than his seat. Before this, we were doing much better across the board. Now the Senate is likely out of reach and Romney’s barely in the race.

Please, every candidate has gaffes and misstatements. Even Romney.

The GOPe leaders should go to hell. The pour money into leftist Republican campaigns with no problem

The leftists tried to make a big deal out of Akin’s blunder just like they have with everything else: Romney’s “47%”, Romney’s taxes, Romeny’s off-shore accounts, Romney’s continuing support for RomneyCare, the “war on women”, occupy Wall Street, etc., etc. They are throwing everything at the wall, hoping anything will stick. They have to because if the focus is not deflected from the economic disaster of the Dims, they know they are going down to a disastrous defeat. The leftists will continue to have the fellow traveling media pimps trumpet any and every misstep that ANY Republican makes if the leftists think it will divert attention from their failures.
