President Obama has jumped to a double-digit lead over Mitt Romney in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Pennsylvania shows Obama with 51% of the vote to Romney’s 39%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and seven percent (7%) remain undecided.

It’s not just Bucks. It’s Philadelphia (expected), Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware. The last four counties are what has placed PA out of reach since 1988.

If true, this is pretty depressing. But, frankly, its hard to believe things are this bad. PA just voted in a Republican governor and US senator two years ago.
The vacant lots and closed "Rite Aid" are an unrecognizable sign to me. And the potholed roads are an exaggeration. There has been a lot of road construction this year, more than usual, and a lot of roads are brand new. There are very few vacant places of business. New places like Target and Subway are always opening new locations and places like Walmart are rebuilding and expanding current ones. I've also seen a big, new office building being built not far from Ridge Pike. And the retail parking lots are all crowded on the weekends.
You want to see more of what he's describing, go to northeastern PA. That is an area in decline with vacant properties and bad roads. Montgomery and other suburban Philly counties are the most economically thriving in the state. I believe Montgomery, Chester and Bucks are among the richest counties in the nation.

It's all relative. He's selectively picking and choosing what he wants to tell you. They're a small amount of examples but as far as he's concerned, they're "far more than you would think." He is right that Norristown is the dump of Montgomery Country, but everyone knows that. It always has been. Yes, there's been a housing decline and general economic decline in the last 4 years. As far as I can tell, we are tracking along on a very average plane right along with the national statistics. There was no above-average collapse here. But it does feel like we're simply stagnating now, rather than recovering.
You are mistaken. I live in rural PA. This is the industrial Northeast, not the West. The Democrats you are talking about are not rural.

He needs to stay in WI, MI, OH, VA, NC, Fl every week until the election. and Ryan needs to do the same. NO more speeches to AARP idiots. If you are a senior like me and have not compared other insurance rates against the crap AARP sells you are losing it. I have found better insurance terms for all my needs on the market. Most seniors do NOT belong to AARP so why talk to the folks who sold out for Obama Care. Geez. Rap this thing up. My advice for Mitt is to do what Debbie Wants a mans schwantz does...no matter the question talk about whatever you want to.

Here in Montgomery Co. OH where we have lost 5Fortune 500 companies in five years, we see tons of new building, especially mini-mansions of $500k to $1.5 m. I have no idea who is buying these but they are selling.
PA was never ever a “battleground” and hasn’t been since 1988.

I think the "turnout model" for this election is going to be very different from any that the pollsters are using. This is the first time in my lifetime we're going to have a lot of hopeless people who think neither party can fix the nation's problems. I think it's going to be a "base" election, with enthusiasm only in the base of each party, and depressed turnout among "independent" and "swing" voters. Unfortunately, Obama's base has been getting the exact radical policy they wanted, and now even more with promises of tax increases and same-sex marriage. The Republican base has an enthusiastic ABO segment for sure, but they don't have a candidate that has a positive message that excites them. Hence that's why Obama is the likely winner in my opinion. He's going to turn out more of his base than the Republicans and win.

great...Reagan was a fighter...can you say the same about Romney??? I’ve been watching college football all day; i saw four BS obama ads during the Iowa-Central Michigan game on the Big Ten network and just saw another one during the LSU-Auburn game on ESPN....i’ve not seen a single Romney ad...
