I'm wondering if the Jacksonian Democrats can survive as a significant faction in the rat's party after Obama. He's trying to put a lot of them out of work. Not only does his EPA want to shut down coal fired energy plants, they want to block exporting coal besides hindering natural gas and oil production.
It sure seems that way in Texas. Obama has jerked government contracts overnight -- he pulled the MRAP vehicle contract from BAE here in suburban Houston and sent the contract to a Wisconsin firm to help Russ Feingold keep his Senate seat (didn't work, Wisconsinians are starting to see through those guys). He has gutted and emasculated NASA and sent all the surviving shuttles to 'Rat-voting States (not one to be left in Houston, where all the shuttle astronauts trained).
In addition, he's been at war with the Texas energy economy on several levels and has done just about everything he can think of, to sink this State.
There is every evidence that he hates our white guts and longs for a second Civil War so he can impose loss of life on the white South at levels Lincoln did, while giving himself a leg up onto Rushmore at the expense of our blood, our dead, and our future. Believe me, Southerners know how this movie ends, and Southerners recognize all the opening moves. Stalin did the same thing to the kulaks, and Obama means to do it to us.
