Hey Frog, you doing OK this evening?
That looks somewhat familiar.
I guess you need to be an open carry state for that?
Then when you get out what is the law to either put it on or secure it?
In Texas, a handgun in your vehicle is not supposed to be in plain sight. If you have a carry license, you can conceal it on your body. If you don’t have a carry license, you can still have a gun in your car, but it should be inside the console or glove box or something.
You know you’re going to get a crack at it, mylife. Quit being jealous! [smiles]
Did I tell you that the s/n is KSU0069?
I just had to post your pic here.
I hope you don’t mind.
That is a good low serial number.
This dude knows nothing of cleaning out cosmoline.
Of course not. Please put me on your ping list.
Someone told Hubby that it would be “collectable” with a number that low. I told Hubby that it is “shootable.” Forget all that collecting stuff.
Then he said he got me 250 rounds of 9mm ammo. Sigh... I can’t convince him that even 1000 rounds are not enough.
This is giving every indication of being an ideal instance for me to remain silent.
So I shall.
I field strip the gun and take all the wood off.B
I use a can of berrymans carb cleaner to blow all the gunk out of the metal parts and barrel.
The wood goes in a black trash bag and sits in the hot Tx sun, to bake the cosmoline out.
Wipe it down with paper towels and repeat the process until it stops coming out.
You could use the wife’s oven but you’ll end up sleeping on the couch
[cough] I know. I don’t speak of it either.
That’s what I thought.
Pray for us unarmed and defenseless in Merryland our concealed carry rights are upheld in October. The only reason we live in this fu_ked up state is Mrs S doesn’t have to spend an hour and a half to drive 7 miles to work.
LOL!
You are now on the pinglist.
It’s still a cool serial #
