The problem is that Mitt isn’t winning any votes, he doesn’t win any votes as a candidate, nor as a campaigner.
All Mitt can do, is hope that there are enough people who dislike Obama enough to choose, “the other guy”.
Even here at FR, Mitt’s top defenders only have arguments unrelated to Mitt himself, the arguments of “he isn’t Muslim”, and “he isn’t Obama”.
I hope that he doesn’t cost us the Senate, and damage us throughout the down ticket and in local elections.
Yeah, it turns out that the Bishop is as unattractive to the voters in the general election as he was to conservative voters during the primaries. Well, Homer, D’uh!
This Romney supporter isn’t going to even try to convince you doom and gloomers to vote for Romney.
I am happy that Romney, a businessman, understands that tax rates MUST be lowered and has stated such. I am happy that Romney has stated he WILL repeal Obamacare. I am happy that Romney has called Israel a friend. I am happy that Romney understand that our Ambassador was slaughtered in a terrorist attack, not over something concerning a youtube trailer that nobody had seen.
That’s for starters. I get absolutely disgusted when I read posts here on this “conservative” website by those who continue to do everything within their power to re-elect Obama. If, by this point, you don’t understand the damage Obama has already done and KNOW that Romney is not going to continue the damage, well, God help you.
I will continue to have Romney and Ryan’s back. There’s a new poll in my Pennsylvania that isn’t double digits for Obama. Today, I talked to 4 people who did not vote for McCain in 2008. They are all committed to now voting for Romney. It’s a very small start, but at least I’m not just hoping that a marxist wins another term and telling others that they can’t possibly vote for Romney because he’s not Ronald Reagan.
Carry on. Along with many others, I have their backs.
He has a very good ground organization in place that is going to help us win on the other levels as well.
Romney had good enough campaign to beat fantastic candidates such as Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and gov. Perry in the primaries. He will prevail in general election if people wake up and smell the coffee about what the radical socialist from Chicago is doing to the country. If not we will soon be Greece. People deserve the government they vote for.
I think we have discussed all the reasons nominating Romney was a bad idea, back in the winter and spring.
The insanity of allowing a “winner” to be designated in a party primary when 65% of the voters choose somebody else is revealed.
On November 7, there will be plenty of time for “I told you so”.
Now is not the time.
“All Mitt can do, is hope that there are enough people who dislike Obama enough to choose, ‘the other guy’.”
And for me, for this election, that’s good enough. Whatever it takes.
