Talking to a lot of my friends, they don’t get it. How can anyone possibly support Obama? Even if you are a Democrat, how can you? He was elected on the promise to cut the deficit, and to work with the other party. Remember, “Team of Rivals”? But it’s not enough to say Obama didn’t live up to any of his promises. That’s too transparent. Politicians are made to break promises.
Knowing American History, we have a lot of things in common with the British. A lot of our DNA is ensconced still in the first settlers that successfully established here. Even the colonists knew when they were fighting the British, they were inherently British.
I think I have found the answer in a book by Carlo D’Este. Warlord: A Life of Winston Churchill. Here is a quote from the book that rings true today. He writes,
“his friend Harold Nicholson’s observation: ‘The British, except in moments of danger, are a lethargic race; they do not care for stimulants, they prefer sedatives. They are distrustful of brilliance. They feel more at ease with what they call, “sound common sense”. Their motto in such periods is “safety first”. And Churchill never believed that safety is the highest aim of human endeavour.”
Americans have become complacent. Uncertainty will do that to you. Obama’s administration has deliberately created uncertainty in almost all things. Economics, Foreign Policy, Banking, Healthcare. American’s don’t know who to believe, or what to believe. The media shields them from the mathematical comeuppance that is right around the corner.
Many Americans don’t have a clue about the coming debt crisis, and the massive increase in taxes they are about to get-nor the consequences of those events. They are passive-or worse yet think the rich will rally and bail them out.
The bad news is, the rich aren’t rich enough to do anything about it. When the dyke breaks, it’s over.
Somehow, someway, if the clear eyed realists can convince Americans that something truly tragic has been building up for 50 years now is about to really change the way of American life, they might awaken. But many are so cynical they won’t believe it-until it happens.
Wars are sometimes like that. Look at Great Britain in the late 1930's. Economics is like that. Look at America today. You don’t go broke slowly. It happens all at once.
the trouble is the democrats stand behind the constitution that their incumbent is gutting.
And that is the fundamental problem right there. When 45-47% of the country will vote for 0dumb0sh_t hands down, no matter what he says or does or how badly the country is decimated, then our nation is clearly in its' last days. The only thing that will restore our nation, is either direct intervention from God, or a massive, great bloody CW II or AR II. We are in a satanic, demonic, spiritual warfare against socialism, democRATs, unions, LGBT & the islamic religion. We either need two separate nations, or we need to decisively defeat the satanic demonic forces that are arrayed against us.
Romney needs to talk about how his economic plan will help the private sector and that will mean more jobs and more money flowing into the public treasury. That will help guarantee that there’s money for the people who are receiving money from the government.
Romney = more money in the treasury which will help guarantee government payments
Obama = less money going into the public treasury and perhaps a reduction of payments.
Voting for Obama is risky business. He’s proven his ideas hurt the private sector. That means fewer private sector jobs which means less money in the public treasury. It might reach the point under Obama that reductions would have to be made in the payments people receive from the government. Vote for Romney because he’s good for the private sector which is good for the public sector.
While he chit-chats with wealthy Hollywood types, he disparages and punishes what he calls "rich" people who have earned their wealth either by "making" things or risking their own money in investments that enabled others to produce wealth. That is not a leader whose actions match his words and ideology.
Back in 2010, just before the November landslide vote for Republicans, hundreds of thousands of orderly and concerned citizens assembled in Washington, D. C. for what was called a "Restore Honor" demonstration of strength.
President Barack Obama stated: “It’s not surprising that someone . . . is able to stir up a certain portion of [the American people]. … "
Hundreds of thousands of peaceable, well-informed, independently knowledgeable citizens of the United States voluntarily assemble themselves in their nation's capital because of their concern about the future of liberty in America, and their President views them as being "stir(red) up" by "someone"?
How arrogant and insulting!
Does Mr. Obama view them, as he must have viewed the thousands who attend his campaign rallies, as just ignorant puppets who can be yanked around by "someone" like himself or Glenn Beck?
What does this say about the honor and sincerity of the man who sought and holds the office of President of the United States?
Can anyone imagine any one of America's first four Presidents holding such a view of a peaceable assembly of 300-500,000 of his fellow citizens, as occurred in 2010?
Informed citizens are the bulwark of liberty for a nation, and they should be considered a treasure. Here are quotations from two Founders and former Presidents. Note the tone of those Presidents' comments regarding the need for the kinds of citizens who attended that 2010 Saturday event in Washington--citizens Mr. Obama discounted as merely "stirred up":

Many Americans don’t have a clue about the coming debt crisis.
The progressives/liberals and msm have done a good job dumbing down.
However hungry people tend to listen.

An informed and well educated electorate is vital to a free republic. The Founding Fathers knew better than to entrust the future to ignorant slackers and ne'er-do-wells. But that is exactly who makes up Obama's "majority coalition."
