DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - In U.S.-funded ads running on Pakistani TV, subtitled clips show President Barack Obama extolling America's traditions of religious freedom. For many watching, though, the message misses the mark in efforts to calm the Islamic outrage over a film denigrating the Prophet Muhammad.
America's free speech laws and values of openness are not in question, but rather there is confusion and anger over how they are applied.

My FREEDOM is not contingent on other countries acceptance of it. They are confused about how my rights are "applied"?! It's either freedom or it's conditional which is NOT freedom. The AP is SO good at double speak. They can kiss my FREE American.......values. lol
I'm also sick to death of the excuses that the press comes up with to LIMIT my freedom. They can all go suck eggs!
If the Muzzies don’t like what is going on in America, I suggest they pay a little more attention to the country THEY live in and stop worrying about ours. We’re Americans, they’re Muzzies. There is a big difference. A huge difference. We believe in freedom.
That article really made me angry. It boils down to BRIAN MURPHY saying that Muslims have no self-control and OUR freedom is at fault. They really DO hate us for our freedom and so does the press.
Perhaps if the US invaded and obliterarated THEIR SOVERIGN SOIL, as they did to ours - they would come to understand what “tolerance” means.

I believe that. It explains a lot including Obama campaigning in foreign countries. He sees himself as recreating the whole world the way HE thinks it should be.

You heard from one of the Founders.. if anyone denies free speech -- even "through fear of giving offense" -- they are committing treason.
Or in the case of the Islamists here in the U.S.of A. who demand that we must not criticize Islam -- they are committing treason and they should be arrested, tried, convicted, and interned for the duration. Period.
And the press along with them.

His manipulations can only result in increased tension, strife and war. We can see those fruits already starting to ripen. People will not be pushed into playing out one man's fantasies even for promises of wealth and happiness. People cannot be pushed like that. They couldn't fit into his fairytale dream world if they wanted to and live like dolls in a child's playhouse. That defies reality.
