Ease of getting voter IDs at the center of Commonwealth Court hearing

Pennsylvania's biggest voter-rights case in recent history ground forward in Commonwealth Court today over the minutia of how identification cards get issued in PennDOT offices around the state. Judge Robert Simpson must decide whether implementation of the controversial law requiring all voters to produce a photo ID at their polling place this fall is proceeding smoothly enough to guarantee that no one who wants to vote this fall is blocked from doing so.

"We are in the business of issuing people IDs, not denying people IDs," Myers said as testimony began, noting PennDOT has issued about 10,800 cards to date.

The ACLU and NAACP claim that there are 758,000 registered voters in PA that do not have ID. I hope that is the case. So far, only 10,800 of them got off their lazy butts to get one.

Cigarettes. ID
Alcohol. ID
Using a credit card. ID
Going to R rated movie. ID
Driving, of course. ID
Cashing a check. ID
Bank account. ID
Getting utilities. ID
Renting an apartment. ID

If someone can’t provide basic proof of who they are to assure a fair and fraud free election, they don’t deserve to vote.

They do have to actually show up to a polling place. That required getting out of bed. So they can go the DMV and get an ID.

Our left-of-Fidel Castro County Executive is planning some trouble. He has come up with his OWN County Voter ID card (which he is trying to claim will be just as valid as the state ID)

No doubt he will issue dozens of them to whomever, flood the zone and crash the system Cloward-Piven style on Election Day.

Buying cough medicine or Sudafed - ID
Applying for a loan - ID
Cashing a check at a Check cashing store - ID
Renting furniture - ID
Renting a car - ID
Renting tools at Home Depot - ID
Hotel/motel room - ID
Doing anything where you work with or around children - ID
Entering a bar/club - ID
Entering a Casino - ID
Boarding a plane - ID
Senior Citizen discounts - ID

federal courts REQUIRE photo ID at the meeting of creditors in bankruptcy court (along with SS card). No ID can cause bankruptcy to be dismissed.

This was put in place to prevent someone else standing in for the debtor.
