Oh come on, they were just celebrating the memorable great music of the Communist Revolution. I mean, even Time-Life put out a series of albums, Music of the Russian Revolution. Don’t you remember? I have volumes 1-22 myself.

Okay, seriously, the Soviets made Prokofiev apologise for his music. What an awesome thing to celebrate, not.

I hope that there aren’t too many members of the radical right in Pennsylvania with paintball guns, and I really really hope that there isn’t a sudden run on the stores in Pennsylvania clearing the shelves of all paintballs in the color red. Especially when I think about how hard those union members work everyday, to keep that school looking clean and those band buses looking shiny. ;^)

But the school’s superintendent Rebecca Harbaugh insists the performance was “not an endorsement of communism.” According to the school official it was a “representation of the time period in history called St. Petersburg 1917,“ and she is ”very sorry“ it was interpreted as anything other than a ”history lesson.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

That was amazing and I was crying by the end :-) It must have been immensely powerful to see in person and what a tragedy that it won’t ever happen again.....

Again, thank you so much for sharing the link!
