I would love for the rich to pay more, except they never do, and we working stiff middle class just see everything we pay go up, up, up....
If the Fed keeps printing money, there will always be some
in the EBT cards, but they won’t buy much and the rest of us

SHTF happens when we all have to line up for our allotment

The top 5% of income earners pay 50% of the total income taxes. The top 10% pay 70% of the total.

There just aren't enough "rich" to pay all the bills, they have enough money to hire good people to figure out how to shield their assets, and they can also buy congressmen to make the loopholes for them.
So it always has been, and always will be the "middle class" that pays for it all.
In this context, I define "middle class" as classically defined, namely doctors, lawyers, small business owners, and those of similar income level.
