WASHINGTON -- President Obama has been forced to cancel several debate practice sessions with Senator John F. Kerry, whom he tapped to play stand-in for Republican challenger Mitt Romney, leaving little time for them to spar ahead of next week’s first presidential debate.

The Massachusetts senator has held at least one mock debate with Obama to help him prepare for the first matchup against the former Massachusetts governor to be held Oct. 3 in Denver, but several others were cancelled due to the the president’s busy schedule, said deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter.

Fine, this is great news. Without the teleprompter and sufficient practice, this Empty Suit will babble incoherently even more.

Less practice = more self-inflicted trouble.

Romney is taking these debates very seriously.

These are not the actions of a candidate who the polls say has this election all wrapped up.

Lowering expectations for Obama. No matter how lousy he does, it will be miraculous how well he did because he didn’t even have time to prepare.

He’s making a decision between campaigning or debate practice. The debates will be the difference for Romney IMO. This is strange.

Personally?

He’s losing, knows he’s losing, and is going to enjoy the benefits of the Presidency while being regaled upon by his supporters at campaign stops.

Only reason he’s still fundraising is that the DNC is broke and he doesn’t want to be on their bad side after this is all said and done.

This is the Dem setup in the event that Obama doesn’t do well in the debates. They will say: “He didn’t have enough time to prepare because he was so busy being our president, creating jobs, improving the economy and managing our foreign policy.”

They’re already floating excuses so that the MSM can cover for him if he bombs, which I hope he does.

I've read other stories which say that Obama is "tired".

Obviously he's working so hard at being President doesn't have time for silly trifles like debates.

(Look for the MSM to tell us how little debates really mean starting the morning of Oct. 4).

Busy? Busy with what?

Here's Zero's public schedule today:

Obama Schedule || Thursday, September 27, 2012
by Keith Koffler on September 26, 2012, 9:51 pm

9:30 am || Receives the Presidential Daily Briefing
10:00 am || Departs White House
11:05 am || Arrives Virginia Beach, Virginia
11:50 pm || Deliver remarks at a campaign event; Farm Bureau Live, Virginia Beach
1:00 pm || Departs Virginia Beach
2:10 pm || Arrives White House

Doesn't look all that busy to me.

Just makes me wonder what the heck the boy wonder is up to.

Meanwhile, Romney has been practicing for months. Obama’s ego is so huge, he doesn’t think he needs prep. After all, he beat Haji Hillary and McLame. He’s a god!

Theories?

Obama only has time for one meeting a day in his busy schedule, and he was shamed into having to spend it on his daily presidential briefings?

Demonstrates his complete arrogance and laziness.

I think the MSM is going to do its job on Wednesday night, and I don’t think Obama is going to like it.

Hope he loses his temper in public.
