I think this election is going to show one thing very clearly. The next GOP candidate CANNOT be chosen based on policy. They must be chosen based on their ability to run against the media and not the Rat candidate. Rush has said it and it is soooo true. The media has gone from being biased to being active advocates. Any GOP candidate that cannot get past that, will never win a presidential election. If it was a contest of ideas and truth, Romney would be ahead by 20 points.

The nun who runs the RCIA at the Parish I grew up at hands out Obama literature during classes. You have no idea how the concept of Social Justice infiltrated Catholicism. Heck, the Pastor is a supporter of Obama, St. Mary Magdalen Church, Maitland FL in case you want to investigate. Every nun I come in contact with at the College of Mt. St. Joseph and on the west side of Cincinnati is an ardent Democrat. They stopped complaining about war as soon as Obama was elected, they are just so thrilled about Obamacare because they think it will bring their hospitals more money. They don't give a rip about abortion because they don't get pregnant (and would probably sneak off and get one if they did). Most priests and nuns are on Medicaid if not also Food Stamps. That's a dirty little secret the Church doesn't want you to know.

Many Catholics are Democrat first and Catholic second, third, or fourth. People with faith in “democracy” are hard to convince otherwise.

i’m in NY and they’ve spoken about this without naming names...my sister in law is in Florida...she told me her parish priest told everyone the only way to stop this (forcing priests to perform gay marriage, free contraceptives at Catholic churches, taxpayer funded abortion, etc) is to vote obummer out of office...

I’m no expert on polls.

But I remember way back in my statistics courses one of the first things we learned was that you can never take two polls, or more, and average them.

Different questions are asked, different samples involved, completely different issues and responses are involved, often on different days.

I don’t think some of the polls look good for Romney either. But Real Clear Politics is just another nearly flashy media creation that blurs rather than clarifies.

Many of the “47 percent” don’t understand the term “percent” and never use it. It merely confuses their little brains. But they have “faith” in the “democratic creed.”

“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God”

Most our our little American voters have never heard this quote and would have trouble interpreting it.

I pray this is just another BS poll, but all the polls are beginning to agree, and the pattern is scarily very similar to last time.

How many Catholics fall into that category?

Keep in mind that Dolan gave 0bama somewhat a seal of respectability just by inviting him - an endorsement that he can plausibly deny.

Right now it is Obama+4. That is a small but significant lead and it has been expanding, not shrinking

The RCP average was within 1 point of the final result in both 2004 and 2008. It's developing a pretty good track record.

Since you refuse to answer the question I’ll answer it for you.

The polling cannot all be accurate. What you want to do is use the polling that validate your sour grapes that Newt lost to Romney. Anything that challenge that emotion based opinion you feverishly attack in the most emotional fashion

Time for you to get over your hurt feelings. Even your master Newt is working to elect Romney now.

When the liberal RINOs voted for Romney they knew he was Pro Abortion. His latest statement is that he is for abortion in cases of rape incest, HEALTH and life of the mother. He is for gay marriage, same sex and gays in the Boy Scouts. Catholic Charities was forced to stop doing adoptions in Mass. Because they refused to follow his EO. He attempted to force Catholic hospitals to perform abortions. He implemented free abortions in his RomneyCare. He placed a Pro Abortion seat on his health care board permanently. But did not appoint a Pro Life seat.
On those issues he is no different than Obama. Liberal Catholics can then consider other issues and vote. Anti abortion conservatives like myself cannot vote for either of them.

Dumbass Catholics who vote for Obama do not realize that a vote for Obama is a vote for Islam.

Sure can’t argue you with you there.

But even leaving aside actual rules of probability (which I don’t remember any of) it’s just instinctively hard for me to trust the average of a bunch of half-ass polls, you know?

LOL, how did you jump to such a stupid conclusion? Romney was certainly not my first choice, but I was one of the folks defending him on this website once it became obvious he would be the nominee. Remember when arguing on behalf of Willard could get you in trouble here? Yeah, I was sticking my neck out for him because I knew he was going to win the nomination and we had no choice but to support him.

Disputing polls is stupid. It’s especially laughable when folks are reduced to disputing virtually ALL the polls. Whining about polls is the hallmark of a losing campaign.

I WILL be voting for Romney. And I will be encouraging everyone I know to do the same.

Just be honest even if only with yourself for once. You want to believe the worst polling because it validates your sour grapes Newt lost to Romney.
