ROUND ROCK, Texas-- Round Rock resident Doug McLean is a Democrat.

McLean recently asked his neighbors to post “Obama 2012” signs in their front yards. But earlier this week, he noticed his Obama signs were disappearing. So McLean said he called the police.

Any political signs are pretty much considered litter around my neighborhood. They are promptly disposed of regardless of where they are. Once you get closer to town you see clumps of them at intersections where they are completely ignored.

I have only seen two Obama one disappeared within a couple days, the other defaced. No Romney at all.

You can order them directly from the Romney/Ryan campaign, but they’re not free. My county’s Republican party orders them and gives them out, but they don’t stay in stock very long.

My yard sign is the Halloween pimpkin I’m making out of a skeleton. I’m dressing him up to look like Manning’s Long-legged Mack-daddy I hope to put up this weekend. I want to cover the skeleton head with an Obama rubber head mask someone gave me 4 years ago.

Regarding this article, Round Rock is full of liberals b/c it was sucked up by Austin’s sprawl.

I don't condone the taking of the signs but ... "... McLean said regardless of where the signs were, stealing is still against the law" is not entirely correct; placing the signs on public property is abandonment and therefore the policing of litter would not be theft.

If the resident who had the signs stolen had the signs legally in his yard, then the guy who stole the signs is a thief and a vandal. Period. And did the guy who stole the signs because he thought the signs were not legal take signs for Romney that were put out "illegally"? Taking yard signs that are put out legally is actually a violation of free speech.

Supposedly my neighborhood covenant bans political signs, but I've put out signs for Republicans before, and I wouldn't like it if somebody vandalized them. If the guy who took the signs thought they were illegal, he should notify the proper authorities. As it stands, by taking the signs off private property without being properly authorized to do so, Koble is a vandal and a petty fascist.

If he really believed what he was doing was right then why go out in the dark. Do it in broad daylight and explain your reasoning.

Maybe the guy who took the signs has his house on the market and this being the weekend does not want Obama signs in the neigjborhood as they would hurt his ability to sell his house.

I made my beighbor abry ...

Man, you'll be lucky if that doesn't go down into the FR lexicon along with bieber, stuned, hugh, series, and the now-famous moose-bitten sister.

I'm gonna go take a shower, and await the outcome of this.

Wake Up-the signs were IN people’s front yards. Read for “comprehension”.
