My math stinks so I'm not sure if my numbers are correct. But the way I figured it out the mail in results from 2008 were only a point off from the final results in Ohio. Maybe a math scholar can re-calculate it.

2008 Popular vote: Obama 2,940,044/McCain 2,677,820

2008 Percentage: 51.5% / 46.9%

Here is something to think about. 660,000 votes separated McCain from winning against Obama. In other words, the vote for Obama in 2008 was very, very close. He did not win by that much,
